What Addrienne mentioned was my situation. MY boyfriend passed due to covid, found out a WHOLE lot of stuff that happened throughout the relationship and i was left there to both Grieve and be upset. Youre left there with so much more emotions and feelings than you signed up for especially because youre upset about the fact that you CANT be upset since he died.

So I looked into this story and turns out that it was a suicide death. So maybe he promised the mistress that he wouldn’t hurt himself. Maybe she’s dealt with that kind of situation before. Apparently he had been dealing with bipolar depression.
Damn I have no choice but to forgive him because if he committed suicide. He obviously had issues that were beyond me.

And he once confessed to me he had suicidal thoughts at times (and this was before the new gf). He ghosted me when he chose her and ever since has kept trying to come back to me. The first time he was able to convince me that maybe I was the one he did it again, ghost out of nowhere. Thats why now im the one who is ghost and dont even reply his texts. This story helped me realize that it isnt love and I am not "the one" he truly wants..its just his bipolar depression. And if I would have allowed it it would have caused me so much more pain. These men are dangerous. Stay away from them. You cant "help" them no matter how much you try.

This sort of happened to my mom with my dad when my dad died over 3 years ago his mistress showed up at the funeral an was sitting with my Aunts I didn’t know who she was but my mom did she made a little scene trying to get the mistress to leave

They were separated due to his mental health. Her husband was in a psychiatric facility for 72 hrs before checking himself out. He would disappear for long periods of time after a very heated argument. The wife had him stay with his parents in hopes that, he’d pull himself together. The wife encouraged him to go back to the psychiatric facility. As for the promise; he promised the mistress that he wouldn’t take his own life. He’s talked harming himself during the marriage. She wanted to approach him about his affair, but was afraid that the conversation would push him over the edge. He blew through all of their savings and their children’s college funds in Mexico.

I liked Garcelle’s point about splitting the bills. But then I thought, wait a minute. I think it would depend on what is left behind in terms of assets, insurance, estate, etc. If wife acknowledges mistress by saying hey help pay for the bills. Mistress might say that wife acknowledges my importance in his life and he promised me x amount, etc. So I demand my share of estate? 🤷🏻♀️
She can help foot the Bill if she wants. The only thing the judge can order is reimbursement of the funeral cost. When your married you assets go to your wife and children.
