Very cool first time account of a 958 mile passage. The corkscrewing reminded me of how nice is was to get off the dive boat into the water, an option not available on this trip. Not sure I would ever try to convince a spouse to enjoy this, but a great bucket list item.

Well, I can attest to the fact that there’s nothing like a good long acting anticholinergic to settle the soul at sea!

I have a lot to learn, but I have another trip planned in January similar to this one. I wanted to refer you to a channel you might like. “How to sail oceans” He’s a solo guy. You’ll appreciate his skills.

I’m familiar with him. I really like how he checks and uses weather. He’s a BRAVE man in that small vessel ! Thank you.

Awesome video, feels like I'm right there! One comment though, I do not like those shackles on the jib clew! Most dangerous in my view!

Thank you! Those are grey dyneema soft shackles.

Once off land, the sky becomes your tapestry, especially at night. The Milky Way and constellations are brilliant and pictorial. At sea I focused almost exclusively on the present aside from the anticipated future landfall. When landfall arrived I found myself planning another adventure!

$15K for good size boat with working engine and sails is a good deal
