I would love to download this house, but I think too much of it is cc. The videos lately really seem to come across as for promotional purposes. I guess I’m just old school, but I preferred it when she wasn’t pointing out cc items. Don’t get me wrong, I love Deli and have watched her for years. The game is glitchy enough on its own, so I personally just chose no cc or mods for my game. So it just makes it harder for me to watch build videos with a lot of cc (not just Deli).

Something EA and Maxis rarely ever do, if ever. Deli has always called out what pack the items she uses are from, how is that any different? That's like if she showed an art piece in a video and named the artist who created it. Once again, it's not promotion, it's called giving credit where credit is due. The Sims team themselves even did this when they added CC INTO THE GAME. Look I get it if you don't like or use CC, it's frustrating to watch a build with it used. But these creators are spending their FREE TIME WILLINGLY giving us FREE content. This is NOT their job like the Sims team, they have no reason to "promote". Not everybody has some evil corporate capitalistic agenda like EA and Maxis. Again, I have no issue with not liking or using CC, or being frustrated with the use of it, but asking her to not give credit just feels you're asking her to steal and the promotion comment feels like an attack towards CC creators.
This definitely is one of those "American" homes that you see in the movies (more of the rich American family). Personally, I think that our "typical" house style is suburban. Beautiful building as always :)

As an American, I wish my house was this nice haha This would basically be a mansion where I’m from. I’d love to see you do some decade builds from the 60s to the 90s. Since we have platforms now, you could make an epic sunk-in colorful living room for the 60s and 70s.
I think more homes are that style, for sure. Homes like Deli built here are definitely out there, but these are the more expensive ones. Like here in Chicago, there are VERY few of this type and they are 4-5 million dollars to buy. Where I'm from originally in Indiana/small city/big town there are only a few of this type, also 5x-6x typical home cost in the area. You live in one of these homes and you have money to burn.
Great job….gorgeous build! 💜💜💜. For me, being an American, this is a sort of home that you would find on large lots in the south. There really isn’t an area of California where there’s this much land and the style of home that you’ve built. On the larger lots, in Cali, the homes are a lot more modern, Spanish style, or mid century. Anyway, love the build Deli!
... That's not true. There's a lot of rural and mountainous areas in California in which people have land. Not everywhere in the state is small suburban or urban. I've also seen a vast array of styles as a native, from log cabins to Victorian to elements of Grecian and more. I know I've seen houses like this one.

The oakhouse set is essential for me. Along with everything by harrie and peacemaker sims. I will keep my game out of date just to make sure there's nothing broken with their items first 😆 they all perfect for simple items. Maxis has a tendency to overstyle and have horrid colour palettes!
My cousins really loved to write on the walls so my aunt got some sort of special paint and white board markers and painted one wall of their room with the special paint. Now if my cousins want to draw on the walls they have their one designated drawing wall that can be cleaned pretty easily.
Deli I like that you select cc very carefully and make videos about it. I love cc but sometimes I feel overwhelmed because there so much cool stuff. Its much more easy for me now to focus on a small selection of recommended cc.
Yuuuup, storage is super super important in kids rooms if you want it to look really clean and organized. It's funny seeing the differences between my niece and nephews rooms. My nephew keeps his room pretty organized and neat, because he has so much storage. Then my niece has a really cute pink girly room with some storage but she is more chaotic and messy. So she'll put her stuff away but it's still not necessarily nicely put away lol.
You're making me wish me daughters were still little. I painted walls for them with chalkboard paint so they could make all the messes they wanted to ❤❤❤ That would be awesome if they gave that to us!
Certain cities have their own style too! Pasadena is definitely an upper class suburban area, but if you go to San Francisco they're all the same style with the bay windows and skinny houses on hills
most of our american neighborhoods are suburban but here it really depends where. there so many styles we use farm houses cabins in mountains and in the country (where i live) we have usually small homes with loads of forest that we own for hunting 🙃
I was away from Sims 4 for couple months, about two days ago I started to play again and I wanted to build a home for my new family but the home that I tried to build was so awful, basly organized and didn't even had a roof -because I forgot. Now that I watched this build, I feel inspired and I hope I will build a better home next time I play the game :)
I can honestly understand the whole reverence towards used to seeing American homes on tv or in movies. I was born in America but I watch so so many international British, Asian or Australian shows that, that's what I'm used to seeing on a daily basis. I get you Deli lol😂😂💗💗

This reminds me of the old farmhouse style home my mom grew up in and my grandparents stayed in until I was in elementary school. Definitely on the higher end of the housing market cost wise as far as American houses go haha

This is excellent! I liked the build very much. Also as a child I wrote on the walls and doors pretending to be a teacher! It helped with my studies a lot though😅 my parents were supportive because maybe they thought I would become a teacher when I grew up...and I did enjoy teaching! But I just ended up with a corporate job in the end but maybe someday I will become a teacher! 🤣

when I was about 10, I think, my parents allowed us to draw on the walls, because they were planing to change the wallpaper anyway, but than for some reason it stayed like this for at least a year. And the wall was ALL covered in drowings, looked somewhat like an abandoned place. But apart from the aesthetics, that was a lot of fun!
I just got Snowy escape and island living because it’s my birthday tomorrow and they were on 50% sale, I love toddlers in the game so my little sister might get me toddler stuff

You can find these types of homes all over the U.S. I am in Indiana and this is a very common style in Indiana. I have also seen them in the South. It kind of is a modern Colonial style.
Speaking of kids rooms, i think i would give my own kids a chalkboard wall. I’ve always wanted one of those. I was DEFINITELY not allowed to draw on the wall, and I don’t think i ever did. Plus, we eventually got this super nice wallpaper, so my parents were always like: “DONT TOUCH THE WALLS” (i guess the oil on our hands would eventually ruin it). I felt like i was living in a museum
When I was young I was allowed to paint my room black and use puff paint to draw all over the walls. I had so much fun with it, and my friends would all use the puff paints to sign the wall behind my door when they came over.
I started drawing and writing on my walls after my dad passed i was 13 and I needed a way to express my feelings kinda. My mom let me do whatever I wanted on my walls. I was so happy to paint over it when I turned 17 or 18

Since I live in K-town, and I grocery shop in Pasadena! This would be there, or Glendale. Maybe even bel-air? Also there is an area in Sf that has the craziest homes that look like this! I can’t remember the name of the streets.
My mom painted the inside of my bedroom door with chalk paint, so we had a place to draw there, make notes etc. Very nice :D We also used it in the kitchen to write memos and stuff :D
Don’t get me wrong, I love cc but I wish Deli would use little to none in some build in the future. So I get building ideas without having to have the cc. Much love to Deli 💕

actually, about the kids room, my mom never let us keep the toys in our rooms aswell, i mean sure, we’re allowed to play in our rooms and bring toys there but we are also expected to brjng the toys back in the playroom when they day ends. all we have in our respective rooms are, desk, closet, vanity one big toy (i had a wooden dollhouse and my brother have a huge car train set thing, idk what they’re called) and bed. a tiny bookshelf for our favorite books, but not all our books. we had a bin of toys in the downstairs and upstairs living but that’s about it. 90 percent of the toys were kept in the playroom
I love CC but my issue with it is that I don't have time to sift through all of the items on multiple different websites. It ends up chewing into my playing time and I can only play when my kids are in bed. Using a pack makes it much easier because I can just go and download it quickly and play right away. Good idea! ❤️

One of my best friends growing up had a play room with blackboard wallpaper so we could write on the walls with the chalk. It was pretty awesome.
