This soundtrack is the most epic ever. I love the movie and have an emotional connection to the soundtrack. I have played my guitar so fucking loud against the backdrop of this movie. Neil's playing is so visceral. This movie is a masterpiece. I love it on so many levels.
@@paultaylor914 The repitition is the running theme from end to end...vital to the journey. It is varied over time as William Blake's experience....Go back and watch with an open mind...I think you missed it.
one of the best movies i've ever seen, beautiful dialogues and a magical atmosphere throughout the movie...and of course the music of neil young....some acting too......!!
I showed the film to my father years ago as well and he told me it was one of the best he'd ever seen. I was really touched since he rarely likes the kind of movies I watch.
I've always been a bit of an outcast too, having gone through various things as a kid that set me apart from the others (car accident at 2 yrs old, early development, harrassment, moving to 4 different cities before I was 11) This name of "Nobody" reminds me of a time when I lived on a Metis reserve in a trailer with my (white/caucasian) family when I was 9 or 10, and I was walking up to the dining room table that had my uncle (who was visiting) and my 2 brothers (that I lived with) sitting around it. When I was just about to sit in the last empty chair, my uncle plainly looked at me and said "You can't sit there." When I asked why, he said "Because Nobody is sitting there." When I said "Well then I can sit there," he just insisted "No you can't. Nobody's sitting there." My brothers smiled too, and joined in on the joke. I just stared at my uncle, wondering why he, a guy I knew only to be a 30-some year old engineer, was suddenly toying with me, and also wondering when he would give up this pretense. He actually kept it going for several minutes, with my brothers blocking the seat with their hands. It just goes to show that sometimes people can act like there is a a seat for Nobody and there is not a seat for you. For all those times, it's just better to feel like an outcast.
Your comment is so eloquent. If only every living person could realize that, we could accept each other as fellow humans. I'm so sad with the state of the world. I hope I have the chance to meet anyone reading this. I would hug you if you would let me.
Speaking as someone coming from a mixed Cherokee-Choctaw-Scot-Irish family who has never known my biological father, this scene - really the entire film - always hits me in the chest. It speaks to so many of the social/cultural inadequacies, or machinations, that contribute to entire identities and cultures being made practically invisible within a society that visualizes everything as oppositional or 'black and white'. Gary Farmer will always and forever be THE MAN!✊🏽
Ron Farmer has a lot of background information to convey in these scene -- the most informational scene of the film -- and he carries it off with aplomb. And that beautiful birch forest. . . .
My dad Cherokee, mom was white. She had me at 10 months and I was too dark to match her, and I had black hair. She said I looked just like the kids at Cherokee n.c. and she would lose me.
fascinující že snad ve všech titulcích které jsem viděl je ta část o lovu jelenů přeložená tak špatně... pokud by to někoho zajímalo, američtí indiáni považují zvířata za "národ" nebo "lid" srovnatelný s námi. Proto "stalking the elk people" skutečně znamená "stopoval jsem jelení lid"
You see... There are tons of amazing movies like this one out there. Keep watching, keep searching, open your mind and let them show you why each is special.
I’m Nobody! Who are you? Are you - Nobody - too? Then there’s a pair of us! Don’t tell! they’d advertise - you know! How dreary - to be - Somebody! How public - like a Frog - To tell one’s name - the livelong June - To an admiring Bog! E. Dickinson
A compliment or a slighted insult? Jim Jarmusch will never ever reach these lofty arty ponce heights again. Not being nasty, far from it. Few directors have achieved what he did here..
nobody is my favorite character from the movie, he is not accepted by his own people and he's not accepted by the white man's world, he is alone he's better off without them. he has only himself to accept him.
This scene always left me speechless, a tale of a man caught between two civilisations, rejected by both of them. Nobody.
By being a nobody you become somebody.......
@@dirk307 Nobody will be watching
Im Nobody as well….
Seeing too much
Impossible to explain
The Star Rover
This was an exceptional well made movie with an amazing cast. Gary Farmer should had been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the Oscars

Yeah, Neil has some great music. It is too bad he's a damn commie!
The repetition of the soundtrack was my only criticism of the movie. After 10-12 viewings I got into it. One of my all time fav flix

@Ireland831 It could have been worse. Neil Young could have sang!
@@paultaylor914 LOL...I happen to enjoy Neil's falsetto vocals. I do see the humor....thanks

The best movie than ever. Pure poetry. Absolutly gorgeous.
,purgatory?
He is nobody, yet he is everybody, he does not belong to any tribes, yet he experienced many different tribes, Nobody is all of us
even a nobody is a somebody

almost better than Messi. 😅 😅 😅
Anyone who loves this scene as much as me go listen to Hiatus - Nobody. An incredible song that used this dialogue as the basis for the song.

I cried my eyes out at that movie
Ja ,ich auch,!
I can relate to Nobody I too was left to wander the earth alone after my own reserve laughed cuz I was brought up white
That’s sad
I’m sure there’s somebody you can relate
You're not alone. You're not Nobody. Peace to you and your travels. Be well.

One of his best movies. Johnny is so multitalented…and a good man.

L'histoire de Nobody : c'est sûrement l'histoire la plus bouleversante possible. Mais tout réfléchis c'est quand même une belle vie
I love this movie 👍👏
Poor nobody :(
yes...
Depp was lucky to get this role, would have been straight star wars with out, known names

Hele je to William Blake a ne Bill Blake, jinak super, mám ten fil moc rád a Nobody je jeden z nejlepších filmových indiánů.
