  • Everybody loves the lengthwise! But how to get in and out? And how do you pitch that awning? Same things for the star tent: a simple pitch with a lot going for it.
If you like the line locks:
The cord locks in US: amzn.to/2P9SxSv
The cord locks in UK: amzn.to/3spRLzk
The cord locks in Germany: amzn.to/3rn6PfJ
A tarp can be a really good alternative to a tent if you combine it with some skill, the right stakes and a ground sheet and/or bug bivvy or bug headnet.
Especially pitches like these, and the strong hexamid, the trail tent, the beaked forrester et cetera bridge the gap between tent camping and tarp camping. Let me know what you like and for what you still need a solution.
    Happy camping! Papa hiker

Yes I need this too! Also how to put it up in strong winds. I can get it up when it’s calm but the wind throws me off

Sleeping in a raft... how novel! I'd turn the raft over, and use the bottom...
