This vid did more to demonstrate that Gholdengo is busted than Glowking. It's still nutty to me that we gaslit ourselves into thinking a mom that denies all hazard removal just by existing is ok

i agree that slowking is kind of centralizing however i dont think it necessarily merits a suspect. its amazing at what it does but isnt restricting. i also think removing it would make pokemon like iron moth and valient just too strong
@@KevOfPeen Absolutely. The tricky thing is removing it makes HO even more broken and BO teams need gloking to function well, but in BO vs BO matchups or BO vs stall the mon is just way too strong
@@LusterSN yea ive been loving psychic noise+toxic+flamethrower. feels like it forces progress vs anything and it actually 6-0s stall on lead if you have a tera that beats gliscor. running it on a terrain extender rilla BO team with double psychic noise
Wait that actually sounds so good. Psychic noise is honestly such an underrated move, feels like so many ppl write it off cause it doesn't work vs regenerator
Glowking definitely is a Pokémon that feels bad to let get a free switch in. Being walled and forced out to the get chilly reception’s on and they bring in their wallbreaker for free does hurt. But good news is it itself is also susceptible to the same thing. Getting a flip turn out on glowking with primarina or a volt switch with raging bolt and bringing in my own wallbreaker that scares it out is pretty satisfying. Choice band Golurk with poltergeist and specs chandelure can rip holes in teams and they’re fun to use and build around with Glowking, the best pivot in the game in mind
Polter Golurk actually sounds insane in this meta yeah. There's like 1 good normal type in bear and the only other Polter switch ins (Garg, Ting Lu, physdef Gliscor) get destroyed by other moves. Will totally try this mon out
Is it possible to add chapter markers for each match? I tend to watch these when I'm going to bed and I'll try to finish it the next day if I fall asleep. Knowing where each game starts would make that a lot easier
glowking is debatably a top 5 mon but nowhere near broken, also glowking's kinda mid vs HO (unless you're running tspike or trick room) since it has less opportunities to setup future sight shenanigans. HO also frequently runs dark types (gambit, roaring moon) and even tera ground for twave. If you're running special-orientated HO you can run stuff like mixed val or knock darkrai which opens up your spikes vs it. Glowking is actually way better into slower teams where you get easy progress w/ fsight + safe pivoting. Cool team tho, latios is surprisingly really good in gen 9.
Love the Snivy/Serperior rep :) those two are my favorite Pokemon haha. Also yeah you're definitely right the mon isn't as good vs HO as I made it sound, most of the physical attackers on HO do have the immediate power to threaten a KO on it. Like you said its vs the bulky teams where it just feels super centralizing since there's no reason not to go into it 9/10 times.
Another thing you could use if you wanna deal with pult is max spdef lefties bulk up ursaluna. It iirc isn't 2HKOd by even specs draco meteor and doesn't care about status so it can give most pults a hard time especially if it gets a free switch. Plus I think it fits better on fat than flame orb luna.
I have not been playing much gen9 ou and I kinda do agree with you about glowking but I also feel that bulky teams also do need glowking. Threats in gen9 are very strong and I feel glowking helps in checking them. One thing is for sure thought that glowking is lowkey a cheap mon. Just bring it in and chilly out lol

Dang this really does live the 2 specs dracos. Will try it out sometime, just not too soon have used the bear on two different teams this week xd
