The show would have been better with more infected. They were building the world with infected and then in the middle episodes it seemed to have stalled. I like that you mentioned the lack of infected makes it hard to realize that humans are the true monsters. Great video as always, keep ‘em coming
Given the response to the first season, it would make sense that there’d be a substantial budget increase for season 2, especially in the makeup department. With things like the shamblers and the rat king to shake up the action, I think that message will be super poignant in the next seasons. Even better because Part II is already a story of vengeance, grief, and mercy; the reality of humanity will hit especially hard.
The story in general is really about the relationship between Joel and Ellie. The infected works well in the game to make it more dynamic. In the show it would get old really fast if they constantly had infected in each episode.
I question whether The Last of Us is a true game adaptation, as Neil Druckmann, the writer of both the game and the series, has indicated in interviews that he used his own initial story. So he first wrote the entire story, afterwards adapted it for the game, and now he did two steps back and tried to make it the best series. My more pressing question, however, is this: how did the game turn out to be so good? How were they able to incorporate such a compelling story into the game while maintaining its addictive gameplay? The game feels like a movie in its own right, surpassing any other game in that aspect. Interestingly, Uncharted (the game) has always felt to me like a subpar movie that is, nonetheless, incredibly enjoyable to play.
Jesus man. I found your channel today and I'm in love! Your "Everywhere Everything all at Once" video was my favorite. Great content and keep it up. I hope you become very successful!
Couldn't have said it better myself. Great work man. Also dang I hope RUclips gives you a break this time around. I have no clue what would've gotten you claimed last time but okay RUclips seems legit.
@@PeyTheWriter An adaption would mean recreating an existing story in a different medium. Not just being set in the universe of the game. Like how pirates of the carribean is not an "adaptation" of the ride. Adaption refers to a story, not an idea.
@@Lapusso650 you do know that jinx and vi's story existed before arcane was created right? They made major changes. Also an original story can absolutely still be an adaptation

You said it perfect as always.
Oh I see you reupped. Well, it's just as good the second time.

You are one of the most underated youtubers
This is fantastic.
This is compelling 🙏
Man !! I need your video on "Silo" episodes. Please make an analysis of this masterpiece of a book and now TV adaptation !
More Time indeed!
Especially the final episode. When I watch that back now, it does feel very, very rushed. And the ending does feel a bit weird then.
Great video! I can't believe you didn't mention Arcane though! Best video game adaptation before (and maybe, imo, after) The Last of Us
I love arcane! I made 2 videos about it. It was actually the first video I did that did well on this channel!
@pey Ah yeah I'm remembering now! That's why I subscribed originally.
I know you've mentioned before how you like ATLA, so I would always be interested in some videos about that (or TLOK)

I hope the one piece live action goes well
Warcraft is hardly a failed adaptation.
Yello
Anyone know the name of the piano piece? 0:01

You don’t know what redundant means.
Arcane was not an adaptation. It was an original story.
Lol what do you think the definition of an adaptation is?

@@Lapusso650 also holy moly. You've left seven overwhelmingly negative comments. If you don't like the videos just don't watch them LOL
@@PeyTheWriter unless they're using an existing story, it's not an adaptation.
