I think the 4000 series cards aim to perform without using a lot of tdp. Cooler temperatures and better performance than 3000 series
It's the efficiency generation and 5000 series will hopefully be raw performance again
i have asus tuf gaming a15 and its a beast with rtx 4060. im glad and dont regret. i dont understand how much people hate this rtx 4000...
@@zaragozano92 it's because they don't use the power advertised. It's more like an AI driven card with frame generation. Not much performance you can get with additional power. Once you hit 100w power usage, that's the highest performance you can get and they advertised 140w

After all the researches I am thinking about Asus ROG strix G16 . There's a price difference between i7 rtx 4060, 165hz & i9 rtx4070, 165hz. Would you recommend i9 rather than i7?
4070 = More fps so the 4070 is the best one, currently on $1700 on Amazon

I am planning to buy Asus ROG Strix G16 i7-13650HX 16 GB RAM 1 TB SSD RTX4070 , I saw some very bad comments about rog series and I got scared to be honest. I dont know what to choose , I want to buy a gaming laptop as soon as possible since there will be price increases soon in where I live. I want to stay away from acer , hp , dell since their not-so-great reputation in gaming community. Can anyone share thoughts on rog strix 16 ? or tell me a good allternative ?
It’s good, Its just expensive, but it has alot of pros. Tuf A15/F15, They have wifi issues as the wifi card is below ssd, Which means when you’re gaming the ssd gets hot, So the wifi also gets hot too. I highly recommend asus rog strix g16. You should hurry. Also it’s good for college and students, The battery life is also good so don’t worry. Or you could buy an Zephyrus G14.

Biggest difference is how hot a laptop gets. Rog stix stay cool in majority of games while tuf is a entry level gaming laptop with cheap components so it does get hot alot and majority of people buy cooling pad when playing games. U probably need to reapply thermal paste after 2-3 years on tuf but rog can easily last 4-5 years without the need of new thermal paste. Unless obviously rare cases
I have rog strix GPU temperatures are stable but CPU temperatures are high reaching 90 at the start of the game.
Hi @TechTryal! May I ask you something about the screen of the Tuf? Basically, I come from a Strix G15 (2022) and the best thing about that was how deep the black was on the screen. Is it the same on this laptop, or should I expect too see some "grayish" scenes, especially at full brightness?

I don't know much but ROG lines up tend to have better screens than TUFs. The ROG have this "nebula" screen.

Why is the strix so slow in loading? I always had asus but it was always so slow
Do you know if there is a way to disable the white lights at the bottom of the Strix screen? Might be a bit distracting if it keeps blinking on and off

1:40 Recently, I purchased the Asus ROG Strix G16 with the 13450HX processor, but I have encountered an issue with its RGB Bar/Strip and Fn + Aura button was not working. They are not working properly and are not synchronizing with the keyboard's RGB. Out of the 4 sections of the bar, only the one on the left side is synchronizing, while the other 3 sections remain frozen. I have updated Windows 11 and the Armoury Crate app, along with all the drivers, but the problem persists. Please help me with this issue.

I pref the rog g16 with the same situation. It is still on the cargo but if you want to more silent, quality screen, also design g16 better. I read a lot of temp problems tuf series. Also there is no crazy fps different between 4060 4070. Just open dlss 3 and frame gen (if available) and relax.

Ryzen is better for thermals and on battery. Intel only slightly better performance, not something you'd notice.

You can check out laptops that compete with G16 like Lenovo Legion 5 or HP Omen 16. They both have Ryzen 7 versions. @@Maksym-c8c

i'd reccomend a Apple MacBook Pro M3 16 it is a dream come true for music producers, many of the top music makers like to use it, and its also good for some light gaming, or if you want for music and strong gaming than i'd reccomend any MSI gaming laptop it is amazing for music production and it can do great gaming with its 10th gen intel i9 core proccesor and nividia geforce rtx 3070 graphics card, if you need more help just ask and send a reply

@@minecraftxbox3502 I got the ROG Strix G16 2023 (4060+ i713GenHX) actually getting around 70-80 FPS in cyberpunk with psycho ray tracing and DLSS on quality, it's really good and never experienced a blue screen, one software issue is that screen brightness sometimes doesn't apply without restart still not sure how to fix it but it's not big to me, I'm enjoying it a lot, but keep in mind the CPU is Intel so it doesn't last long without charger, for example can play Wuthering Waves max graphics 60fps without charger for like 50-60mins max, getting a Ryzen CPU is better for battery life, I hope this helps

i've been hesitating too between these two man! The strix g16 seems to have a better sccreen tho but it's 4060 but at the same time the processor i7 13650hx coupled to the 4060 is really strong better than the ryzen 9 7940hs so far however better gpu 4070 tough choice tho
Both are solid laptops and if you can dish out a little bit more money you will get an overall better system.

I do care about display and my friend has the laptop( tuf one) and display is good but not impressive. Moreover i will get 1 TB of SSD storage and the strix looks grt too but will missout on the 4060. So is the 4060 worth missing out a nicer display which is 300Hz(3ms), 512 gigs of extra storage, better looks, faster ram ( cause strix has 4800Hz ddr5 ) and org office 2021. I am interested to play games like valorant, forza horizon, some open world ones like farcry, gta 5 and upcoming 6

I'm between two laptops, both have the same cpu (i7 12700H), but the gpus are different.
Asus TUF Dash have a RTX 4070
ASUS ROG Strix have a RTX 4060
Can you guys give me some advice of which can be a better option for 1080p and 1440p gaming?
Edit: both have 16GB of ram.
get the 4070 since it has a higher wattage limit than the 4050 and 4060 (120w or higher ) plus the better raw performance.
