Hey, appreciate your comment. Completely agree with you. To be honest, at the time of making this video, I didn't have other laptops to compare it with, nor did I want to just compare specs to specs with other laptops, as without having them with me and properly testing them, it would've been unfair to anyone planning watching this video. But, having done all of that before purchasing my own device and looking at how all other laptops around this price point had power limited rtx 4060s, the tuf a15 was a rather easy pick as it was the only one out of the bunch that had an uncapped 4060. Thanks a lot for watching!
@@SiddharthToprani thx this video is already 1 year old and hopefully you use tuf already more then 6 month. I am thinking to buy 2nd on 9500tl mean indian 45000rs what you say it good to buy at this price point? How way you experience.
Yes, the tuf is still my daily driver, around the price point you've mentioned, I'd say it's a solid choice. My unit has held up quite well. Still getting good performance and battery life. My only advice would be, if you can, get the Ryzen 9 7940hs variant of this laptop, just to futureproof the system for a bit longer. At the time of my purchase, that variant wasn't available, so I couldn't get it. I feel like in cpu bound software or even games like fortnite, valorant, overwatch, etc. that extra power would definitely be worth it. Otherwise the ryzen 7 is still good, if you don't find yourself running into cpu bound scenarios.
I cannot believe that you have just 500 subs. Your video looks like you do this everyday. You gained a new subscriber. I managed to get the TUF A15 at 715 euro, as it was a opened one by the store employees. You are right by saying this is a perfect laptop

Sorry for the late response. Yes, but it depends on your needs. If you're a casual editor/designer/gamer, the 4060 and ryzen 7 7735hs would suffice. If you need something more powerful for intensive workloads the 7940hs plus 4070 combination would be the better choice.

None taken, I agree. Had been staring at that face for around a week while I was editing the video 😂. Definitely something I've been working on since filming this. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks a lot for watching!
I recently bought an Asus TUF A15 with a Ryzen 7 processor after watching your video, which was really helpful in making my decision. However, I’ve noticed a slight issue with the display. When I compared it with another laptop, I observed a slight yellowish tint on my screen. It’s minimal but noticeable, and I wanted to check if this is normal for this model. Obviously, no night light or eyecare protection is on there. Maybe you’ve compared it with other brands, did you notice a similar issue with the display on your unit? Is this tint common for the TUF A15, or should I look into it further?
Hey, I compared mine to my monitor's display and found no major differences. You can also try comparing to your phones display as most phones have very colour accurate displays (just make sure there isn't any colour boosting setting that's turned on in your display settings). If you still feel you have a yellow tint, you can either calibrate your display, or a rather easier solution would be to just get it replaced. Thanks a lot for watching!
I think the only thing bad about this model is the response time . Its got an 18ms gtg response time so im still considering if i want to get it or not as i will mostly play fps like valorant and fortnite on it .
So at 2:14 I observed that your 8 ,M , I ,K have 2 differernt colors , is that a product defect or does all TUF models have that same issue.Even my ASUS TUF F15 model has 2 colors on the Diagonal side of these keys and when the RGB is set to while it quite looks awkward, So i have kept it as static blue.
I hadn't noticed this actually, thanks for pointing it out. I think that the split in colors on certain keys when set to white could be due to variations in LED placement and light diffusion. Apparently I did a quick search on this and it is not uncommon to experience slight color variations in RGB lighting setups, especially on keyboards with fewer lighting zones. These variations can result from the way the LEDs are positioned and how the light is distributed across the keys. It's a technical limitation that might cause certain colors, including white, to appear slightly different across different keys. And hey, I also set mine to a tealish blue colour, looks quite sick 😏
Hey bro amazing video i am going to buy this but im going to connect this to a gaming monitor do does this support displayport and can i use it with cooling pads because im not sure if the intakes are at the bottom please help, thanks
Hey, currently using this with my Samsung Odyssey G7 (1440p, 240 hz) with usb c to displayport 1.4 connection. It supports the full bandwidth with GSync. Shouldn't be an issue. Be sure to connect the monitor to the second type c port, one that's towards you when facing the laptop. That's the one that connects directly to the nvidia graphics. There are two fans, one on the left and one on the right. A cooling pad though not required, should work. I just keep mine on a stand, so it stays a bit elevated. Thanks a lot for watching!
@@SiddharthTopraniHey man I bought the laptop but I have a question, does the display port 1.4 work on a 1.2 monitor because I heard that 1.4 and 1.2 are backwards compatible but I’m not sure and does it matter on what usb c to dp I buy or are some of them worse than others
@@Zceni Hey! Yes, it should work. As far as cables are concerned, you could use any USB-C to Displayport cables. I'd suggest getting a USB-C to Displayport 1.4 for futureproofing purposes. I'm currently using the one from CableMatters, and it's just plug and play. Thanks a lot for watching!

I'm not sure if there is a limit. Usually RAM slots are limited by the cpu, storage isn't. The max capacity this laptop ships with is 2 TB on its highest configuration, so there's that.
The G16 has an Intel i7 13th gen I believe. It's a bit more powerful than the amd one in the tuf, but you would get noticeably less battery life. You won't notice much difference unless you're under highly cpu-intensive workloads. Since most games today are more graphically intensive you can't go wrong with either. The G16 is a bit heavier by 300 grams compared to the tuf, add the power brick and the total weight of the setup would cross 3.2kgs. If you're mostly using it for wall powered use maybe gaming or editing all day, the strix is better. If you prefer portability, and a system that's well rounded and lasts for a good part of the day, go for the tuf. Thanks for watching!
The A15 is probably the best value for money laptop out there. It's more than capable enough to run 3ds max. If you want slightly better performance, let's say you're usually gonna be near an outlet, it might be better to get the G16 or the TUF F15, both with Intel options. Though if you value portability, the A15 won't disappoint you.
Holysbit, glad i found this review. Very nicely explained ans well edited video. Very clear about everything, well mostly everything i need. One question, whats the maximum wattage of gpu tho? I know its at 140 in ads but likr where does it cap at?
Hey, from my testing in all titles, it caps around 95. Unless I'm rendering videos or stress testing it, those are the only 2 times I see it exceed that limit. While stress testing it will push to 140. Glad you liked the video, and thanks a ton for watching!
Hey, I've used an Acer aspire 7 in the past, and my experience wasn't that good, the build quality was poor, the hinges especially, I'd use my laptop docked most of the time and even then the hinge having issues was a bit strange. It's been a while though, maybe they have improved, I'm unsure. My suggestion would be if you can, check the laptops at a local retailer, doesn't have to be the exact spec, but just so you get a feel of the devices. Hope this helps. Thanks a lot for watching!
Yes, it's on max brightness. I would say though, it was quite a sunny day. That said, even using it indoors I usually incline to keeping the brightness a notch or two below the max brightness. Hope this helps. Thanks a lot for watching!
Hey, should be fine. I've edited most of the other videos on the channel on this laptop as well, and so far it's handled them just fine. I would suggest if you can, get the ryzen 9 7940hs version of this laptop. I find the ryzen 7 to be adequate, but the 9 would just make sure your device stays futureproofed for a bit longer. Thanks a lot for watching!
Great Video. Since the new Asus Tuf A15 2024 edition just came out but it seem to come out with a weaker processor but with a good display (100% srgb 500nits). The new configuration is Ryzen 5 7535hs which has less core than Ryzen 7 7535hs. I really want to know your opinion on this since you seem very knowledgeable. Anyway gave a like for this amazing video.
Hey, I'd say if I had to nitpick on the 2023 model, it would have probably been the processor, while it was quite efficient, it lagged behind the Intel processor by quite a noticeable amount. A few months later after this model's launch, Asus had launched the same model with a Ryzen 9 7940hs. That was a much-needed improvement as it was better in sync with the power of the 4060. Now with the 2024 models, they've sort of further diversified the models across regions, and the one you're referring to seems a slight downgrade even to the 7735 hs model that I reviewed. If it's much cheaper compared to the model I've reviewed which was around 1100 to 1200 usd at the time of launch, I'd say go for it. If not, you might be better off looking for other laptops. Appreciate your kind words and thanks a lot for watching!
@@SiddharthToprani Interesting opinion. The 2024 edition is only cheaper by $50. I also agree Intel CPU might be a better option since everywhere I go has a socket or plug available. Might wait a little until Q3 or Q4 of 2024 to finally make a decision. Overall, your opinion has helped me. Once again I like to thank you and hope you have great success in the future. Best of luck to you.
Hey, I don't have the tools to test it's accuracy, so I can't ascertain completely. Asus claims it's a 100 percent sRGB. With most color sensitive work, my advice would be to get it calibrated by either getting the tools, are via an agency that specialises in display calibration. Alternatively, you could try calibrating it by keeping it near your phone screen for instance. Although not recommended, smartphones have pretty decent displays these days, most of which are quite colour accurate. If you have a colour boost mode in your display settings, make sure that's turned off before you do calibrate. Thanks a lot for watching!

Hey, from my testing in all titles, it caps around 95. Unless I'm rendering videos or stress testing it, those are the only 2 times I see it exceed that limit. While stress testing it will push to 140. Glad you liked the video, and thanks a ton for watching!
@@SiddharthToprani Wow, then this is the best for my buck rn. Thanks for the info! ♥️
I'm conflicting this and Acer Nitro V or v15, can you help me decide?
Hey, I've used an Acer aspire 7 in the past, and my experience wasn't that good, the build quality was poor, the hinges especially, I'd use my laptop docked most of the time and even then the hinge having issues was a bit strange. It's been a while though, maybe they have improved, I'm unsure. My suggestion would be if you can, check the laptops at a local retailer, doesn't have to be the exact spec, but just so you get a feel of the devices. Hope this helps. Thanks a lot for watching!
I wish I got this one instead of the i7 3060
tuf is just getting better year by year..
Does it have additional slot in this model ASUS TUF A15 (2023) FA577NU-LP082W.
Please provide me information about this model
Hello there i am.thinking of buying this laptop but i would like an opinion for its display . At 1:55 on your video is this the brightness on full?
Yes, it's on max brightness. I would say though, it was quite a sunny day. That said, even using it indoors I usually incline to keeping the brightness a notch or two below the max brightness. Hope this helps. Thanks a lot for watching!
What is the max capacity of each ssd slot? is it 1TB or 2TB? and the ssd type is 2280 right?
Yes, it's 2TB per slot. Also yes, it's the standard M.2 2280 ssd type. Thanks a lot for watching!
@@SiddharthToprani Thank you so much, your video really help me, and you also answered my question!
Hey bro , awesome review . I am thinking of getting this laptop for video editing . Hope it will do ok with 4K video editing . What’s your take ?
Bro is the display colour accurate for colour grading work?
Hey, I don't have the tools to test it's accuracy, so I can't ascertain completely. Asus claims it's a 100 percent sRGB. With most color sensitive work, my advice would be to get it calibrated by either getting the tools, are via an agency that specialises in display calibration. Alternatively, you could try calibrating it by keeping it near your phone screen for instance. Although not recommended, smartphones have pretty decent displays these days, most of which are quite colour accurate. If you have a colour boost mode in your display settings, make sure that's turned off before you do calibrate. Thanks a lot for watching!
How did you change the color of the keyboard in blue in static mode? I dont like the red color I want the blue color if possible.
