My calf muscles have become a major problem for several years and i need your help please. I cannot walk uphill or when my toe is pointed upwards as my calf feels very tightened when doing so, though I don't have any problem walking downhill. Please suggest what should I do?
Hi, I injured my Soleus around where the pressure point would be and its been about 3 years and it has never healed. I have had MRI's and many hospital visits. They say no structural damage. I live in China and as an American it is so difficult to get this problem solved. Recently I was told I should get a Gastroc Release. I have seen some bad feedback. So I really want to avoid it. I guess my calf is tight and it keep aggravating the soleus strain every few days to a few weeks if I'm lucky. I'm 37 years old and I take blood circulation supplements, blood circulation creams, Penetrex cream for swelling. I wear heel lifts to ease on the strain of walking. I have a small ultrasound machine, Compex stimulator at home and a treadmill and all the other gadgets to do therapy. I rested so much that I ended up with muscle dystrophy and could barely walk. I went to physical therapy and got better, but at a certain point I kept getting injured. So I stopped going. I was paying 150 dollars a session and was getting hurt every time. Its so hard to balance therapy/stretching/resting. My calf flares up so easy. Sorry for the long message, but do you have any advice? such as a certain massage or approach to getting better?
Hey there - the PROBLEM completely depends on your diagnostic list. From that list, each problem gets addressed with the BEST solution for that problem. I can tell you from personal experience that most gastroc or soleus issues is due to adhesion in the deep calf (tibialis posterior, flexor hallucis longus, flexor digitorum longus, and the plantar foot). NO amount of gastroc or soleus treatment to those muscles as the over-compensating muscles will help.
Please I have serious pain in the inside part of my tibia bone as well as the muscles surrounding it in my right foot. I’m a basketball player and it’s unbearable. Any remedy please?
The remedy is adhesion release. You might also want to get an MRI to make sure you don't have a micro fracture or compartment syndrome or something else. I'd find an adhesion doc though.
Shin splints ? Try training your tibialis anterior as that can play a major role in protecting your tibia from forces applied during exercise! Good luck, as always try and get assessed by a physical therapist in your area! Best of luck.
@@thewiseone6513 Yup, strengthening is never a bad idea. if the pain after strengtheninig isn't better after 3 months, then adhesion release OR a diagnosis is needed.
I have a tension Like Soleus Pain in the right foot when Plantar fexing while lying on bed. Tension increases when trying to Run or Walking for a Longer period. Any of your expert suggestions would be Welcome besides pushing the Trigger Points shown Here, 😏👍
@@CMK-Security The only ways are surgery or a certified Manual Adhesion Release provider. You can try stretching or foam rolling or massage, but over 11 years of practice, we haven't found these to work.
@@drchrisstepienclips thx. I might try a Massage Gun. Is there actually any way to prevent a adhesion in the lower Leg? What actually causes the body to this Condition?
TO break adhesion? I wish there was a way. You can try stretching, foam rolling, massage, rolfing, or lax balling and see if any of this giives you any permanent relief or increases your flexibility, but if the adhesion is big enough, they won't work. But try away!

Would a foam roller help?
To remove adhesions? Don’t think so

I cannot sit on my heels without pain in Achilles/ soleus area. Would this help my cause?
No. It sounds like you have adhesion in shin/anterior ligaments of ankle OR joint degeneration at mortise joint.
@@drchrisstepienclips how would you fix those problems?
@@staazbeats You'd have to see an adhesion release doctor (i.e. integrativediagnosis.com)
