Yay thank you so much! Getting pads is also SUPER pricey so I got some thick reusable ones on Amazon (green turbo mops) and LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

    very nice thank you!
*note: When i was a kid and i went into the service, we had to clean floors every single day lol. The drill instructors taught us, and we were amazed, that Windex window cleaner in a 1 part windex, 2 parts hot water, and your usual amount of dishsoap is amazing. Get the water as hot out of the tap as you can get without it boiling or damaging the floor, works wonderfully well. It was explained to us that the detergent is just that: detergent. But remember the Dawn commercials? "Dawn scatters grease?" Its true! But that also means it repels the dirt and grease from being absorbed. Thats where the windex comes in. That stuff I swear - its magnetic lol! Im serious, try plain hot water on a bit of your floor and water with windex on part of the floor with the same dirt as the plain water. You'll see that all things being equal the windex side wins in a landslide. I personally like a bit more windex in that equation but play with it and see what you experience). Dawn cuts it, windex picks it up! It must be the ammonia who knows! Anyway a gallon of generic windex is dirt cheap, no pun intended, at home depot or lowes.

To save more money, dollar tree has pads that work with the wet jet . And they are reusable. Just toss them in the washing machine. No fabric softener. They are microfiber. The Fabric softener makes fabric less absorbent.

Started doing that years ago, one thing to watch out for is a leaking container it, will rust the motor and no longer work.

How to make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else? Just check after refilling and putting the cap back on if it’s leaking?

My hard wood floor installer told me not to use vinegar. That over time the wood would cup. Have you had issues?

just use pine-sol or vim, or something like that that wont damage the floors. you can dilute it so it wont damage the floors. i

No vinegar on tile floors either, it will loosen the calking between the tiles.

This is a super trick which I intend to try. My trick is that I left the empty in the mop and cut a small section in the bottle that's up and poured my cleaner into that slit which works well but you have to be careful not to jolt cleaner out from the bottle.

I think the trick is to leave it in the water long enough. I heated water in my hot pot and poured it into a large coffee cup for about 90 seconds, then used my zyliss jar opener and it came right off! Now I can refill with diluted solution of Murphy’s Oil Soap and water for all my floors, cork, vinyl and manufactured. Yays!!!

The kitchen oil funnel cups worked for me, not the hot water method. Get the smallest plastic measuring cup you can find, lightly jam it in the sprout hole in the top of the empty Swiffer Jet container and pour your solution into it. You might have to use the tip of a sharp knife to slightly widen the hole.
