Hahaha that bit was Crowley desperately trying to cope with Aziraphale's death (yet clearly futile). The angel he saw in mirror reflection was actually just his illusion. I thought the little smile and wave of the imaginary zira there made sense bc that's likely the way Crowley would have remembered him. Beaming and accommodating.
I misheard it as "love" first time watching the scene and I was like 😮 until I realized "lost" made more sense context-wise. Anyway Aziraphale responding with "so sorry to hear it" always tears me apart a little.
Thank you so much! I loved how heart-rending this sequence was, in the book, and how achingly depressed Crowley became. And in the tv show version, it's shortened and not as painful, which makes the resultant relief, when it's all over (because it isn't all over) feel less like the original's giggle-tears and more casual. And this RUclips really sets that experience's psychological bone; I feel like I'm seeing all the pain and relief again, and not just jogging quickly through a bunch of scenes before the ending. The pain gave the joy and relief more meaning and empathy, and makes that sequence come back to me, in my own difficult moments.
OMG! This is so good! The tiny details are genious! Like 1:14 (the passing), 1:27 (the mirror), 1:33 (Azira-Twins), 1:38 (scene backwards?), 2:18 (that's cool!), 3:17 (from the Corona-Special)....I really love your Good Omens edits :-)

Here's some more angst: if you're not listening very sharply, you can hear the "I lost my best friend" as "I love my best friend"
