Probably my favourite Volkswizard video, as I'm waiting to take delivery of one of the very last UK Golf R 7.5 estates that's been made... certainly glad I picked a car with DCC, as my current Golf 7 GTD has 19" wheels on passive dampers - it's ok (spends all winter on 17" VW Dijon wheels & winter tyres anyway). No performance pack for me, as it's a daily driver & I want the ability to fit the same winter wheels/tyres onto the R & I doubt the bigger brakes would have had the clearance. Can't wait for the new car - best time to buy is definitely at the end of the model run, was the same when I bought the mk 7 GTD - it was just when the 7.5 was being released
@@volkswizard yes, I guess! It's not horrendous, but we do some long-ish runs in it - the ride is dramatically better on the 17" Dijon alloys & winter tyres (unsurprisingly). Kind of the same with the R estate we're waiting for - pan roof, Dynaudio, DCC, Spielberg wheels & Lapiz blue which wouldn't have been viable without a large end of run discount. @@frankieflash I am not a professional video maker so I make errors and omissions. I am usually under a lot of time pressure when making these videos so can't cover everything for everybody - this was definitely the case with this car - a few mins later the VW PR boss rang me up to find out where I was as someone else wanted to borrow the car. But I take all criticism on board and learn from it. Of course there could well be a point where so many people want so many things from a video that it's just not worth the grief, there was a net cost to me for attending this day and I can't sustain that indefinitely so I am unlikely to bother next time anyway.
For reference I believe the hatchback is about 340L and the estate has about 600(ish)L , so very practical. Picking up a used Golf R estate (17 plate) with 5000 miles on the clock and a relatively good spec costs just under £22,000. Bargain if you ask me

@@volkswizard yes you're 100% right it just looks mean. I would have one of these in a heartbeat if it looked like that 1. Are these all wheel drive? Thanks for the reply. 😊
What about the boot.
It's got a bigger one than most people could ever need!
volkswizard yeah but why not show it? I mean I could have watched 300 other different videos of people telling me how the car drives. I come here to see the extra space in the estate version.
@@volkswizard What a ludicrous answer.
Bargain if you ask me
Rsq3 review?
Would love to but wasn't invited by Audi to the launch and a loan car from them after all the main RUclipsrs have milked the opportunity will only lead to a video that doesn't do the numbers and less likelihood of being invited to the next launch. I'll keep plugging away down here to hopefully change that in the future though :)
But you have review most of the high performance golfs, thought it'd be cool if you could do the same for high performance A3s
very noisy inside...not for a long,comfort drive ;-(
Seems I have to look elsewhere for a proper review of this car.
Hearing you lisp thrue another video is also" a bit uncomfortable " son...
If you find it so offensive please don't watch any more, simple
Sorry for my shitty comment man... i watched your video 'cause i want to but a 7.5r variant(and i will) but my comment was a massive cunt move. I wish you all of the succes sorry
