Mwii seems to use more real time global illumination for lighting whereas a lot MW2019 lighting is more baked in which is why it looks consistently good. I guess MWII is doing this because of Warzone and DMZ. Supposedly having day night cycle.
Bruh that’s not how it works. Campaign doesn’t need to alter lighting for day n night bc the missions only take place in either day OR night. Therefore they don’t have to find balance, they can focus on the time of day and appropriate lightening for that time.

MWII still looks fine, but the shadows aren't as strong because most of the maps are lit during cloudy or sunset weather so the shadows aren't as dark. The ground war maps look more akin to what MW19 looked like with the blooming sun and high contrast between light and shadows.

The overall presentation in MWII feels a bit more flat compared to MW2019. Can't say MWII looks better presentation wise except for having a bit more color.
My biggest complaint with the MW reboots is their over reliance on aggressive visual recoil especially when using optics. The whole point of using an eotech or a red dot is to mitigate sight wobble and keep a clear aperture. BF4 and older CODs depicted this pretty well. It's like every gun in COD nowadays is being wielded one handed or stockless by the operator.

I think the reason why the mag doesn't drop is because they don't want to reveal they are infiltrating tower, if they did let it drop, then if would smash a window, revealing them.

Mw2 has a lot of the features I don’t know what you were using but I went in and tested it my watch shows the time on my console/pc and my magazines are visible when reloading, so I don’t know if that is a graphics thing or not but just wanted to get that out there

This is some Halo infinite type lack of detail. (Infinite much worse though tbh, we didn't even have fire effects or explosions on launch and no they were added as 2d gifs, also the water in infinite is laughable)

I’ve been playing both, but I definitely keep returning to MW the most. It just feels better and looks more real world to me
