    Hi there to you,
I've watched other videos of other people about Seiko Kinetic watches because I have a limited edition kinetic auto relay 5j22 watch. I bought it second hand about 5 years ago and the previous owner, who owned a jewellery store at the time, had replaced the old capacitor with a new one by the Seiko service centre. It is the most accurate "quartz" watch that I have ever owned. I also have other watches but this one is fantastic.
I completely agree with you about the technology that goes into these watches and the accuracy as well. There is no mechanical watch that can come close to this with regard to it's accuracy.
Thank you very much for your wonderful explanation and for all your other videos.
    Kind Regards to you.

WOW... I had heard how some time pieces could sleep and then find the correct time, but I have never seen it before today! Fascinating technology and really opening my eyes to how mechanics can work with a capacitor. Thank you 😊👍

A very clear and good explanation of the technology!👌
I like the design on your "Premier Kinetic Perpetual" - it’s nice and practical too. I believe it’s model SNP003 or SNP005 (-depending on bracelet or leather strap.)
Anyhow, thanks - lots of great videos on your channel 🙏
By the way, I think it’s Seiko reference #7D48-0AA0 calibre 7D48 for those interested.

My favorite watch I can overhaul 5 to 8 a day they work well and a long time. Weak pain is the charging stator gear/stator jewel easy to fix.😀 Just clean lube change battery and seals every 10 years!!!!

I have had a Kinetic for a few years. The lithium ion battery is basically dead. It has the life of an automatic watch now. So, I don't see the point really, I can get a few years out of my typical quarts watches.
As I understand it, Seiko used a real capacitor when they started the Kinetic range. A capacitor that wouldn't every really wear out would be nice, even if the "power reserve" would be lower.
Anyway, I like the quality and styling of my Kinetic for the most part, but the Hardlex screen is very poor and scratched to bits now.

The quality and styling are very nice indeed. Most parts are still available by Seiko.

My 22 year old Seiko Kinetic had been operating with limited reserve for a few years.
A week ago I replaced the capacitor, and it's operating as new again.
Replacement was as simple job, and the part was not expensive. (3023 24X for the 5J22 movement.)
Now I just rotate it through my collection and look forward to watching the auto-relay operate when awakens from hibernation :)

I have a SEIKO KINETIC 7L22-0AA0 for 20 years and the Chronograph big hand will not move when button pressed, do you think it is a coil causing it not to rotate?
I just replaced the capacitor and it ticks and keeps time well.

I noticed when you awoke the watch, the date didn't change, even though you said it had been "asleep" for 24 hours. Does that mean that the date continues to be updated on the dial even when the hands go to sleep?
