However, he follows the will his clan followed, which is basically Preservation. The last thing his sister told him was to protect himself, so he does just that, even if he doesn’t know why he keeps going after having lost everyone. (Don’t mind me I got emotional thinking about his story again 😭) Amazing remix btw 🤩 this is FIRE 🔥 🔥 🔥
How is he protecting himself if he tried several methods to die in the dreamscape tho? Also he actually technically allowed himself to be killed just to expose the Family.
@@JoanneGrr Yeah, he’s very self-destructive, which is why he puts his life on the line any chance he gets, but that’s because all he can trust is his own luck. Also like he always says, “I never make deals that don’t benefit me”, even if his plans include balancing on the line between life and death, he always survives in the end.
See my read on why the path of Preservation suits him (and why he turned down an invitation to the Tavern) is that Preservation is the path of willpower and resilience. Aventurine doesn't gamble because he enjoys the thrill of winning and losing (think, say, Yumeko from Kakegurui) but because he has the nerve to take those kinds of risks to complete his objectives. Up to and including being willing to bait Acheron into 'killing' him for the calculated risk that it would advance his goal of exposing the Family. To an outside observer, like the Fools, it might seem like he derives pleasure from risk, but in reality, he is just has a stomach for risky plays others would balk at.
