I seriously did not expect someone like him to have such a tragic backstory, and I hate the IPC even more now, seriously I wish they would all just dissappear, every single one of them, I hated them ever since I played Topaz's Jarilo story and I was suprised that she's supposedly one of the better ones, cause she didn't seem good at all to me, Boothill deserved to have a good life with his family and his daughter
As a corporation yeah the IPC is defo horrible and they are depicted as bad guys very well 😭 But individual characters such as Aventurine and Topaz I find interesting cause you aren’t meant to LOVE them but they clearly have a more emotional, human side to them which can be appreciated!! All in all… 100% agree Boothill deserved a happy family 😭😭

He wasn't shown in a way where he's supposed to be a good guy, you can sympathize with his past, but the game never says that he's a good person 2. We got a lot more backstory for him. Meanwhile with Topaz, not only was she shown as if she was a good person (I appreciate that she gave them more time, just to be clear) and yet at first she gave them 2 choices, either pay the 700 year old debt with interest or all the current and future generations of Jarilo basically become IPC slaves by being their workers for their whole lives without having the choice of doing otherwise. Couple that with the game barely giving us a backstory for her (she basically just gave us a quick run down of her past without much else) and she fucking controlled and threatened my man Svarog and made robots attack my boy Gepard (one of my favorites in the Jarilo story, man is a beast in combat lore-wise) , honestly I just hate her so much because of how she was portrayed. No hate to her fans of course, people can like and dislike whatever they want and it's just a game at the end of the day

OMG, "All's fair on the Styx's riverbank" is such a cool line! It flows so nicely in the song, and though it might be unintentional, it ties into Acheron, who's named after another of the Underworld's rivers and is the reason Boothill comes to Penacony in the first place.

Every time you make a Star Rail song, you somehow always kill it, making it even better than before. I mean, the other ones are good, but they keep improving with each song. And I Love the visuals, especially for this one because it's like watching an old Western movie. And you really captured Boothills personality throughout the song. As someone who was in a crisis due to accidentally getting him and now regrinding jades for firefly, this song was the final nail in the coffin that solidified him being worth it for me after all. historical Fact: BootHill is the name of a graveyard in Tombstone, Arizona. It was established in 1878 and then closed in 1886. A few infamous outlaws were buried there: Tom Mclaury, Frank Mclaury and Billy Clanton are among the dead buried on Boothill. Those three men were shot and killed by the Earps and Doc Holliday.
