I visited EBOS about 10 years ago, as YA-GAF Was still sitting there. What a nice airport!!! The terminal still had it's 1950s charm. I remember that there was a sticker of TAAG Angola Airlines at one of the offices. Wonder if this sticker is still there :) Could you check for me?
@patrick vereecke wow, thanks so much. Hope to be able to visit Ostend again soon. I also remember that there was an abandoned camping site located directly at the airport perimeter fence. There were still two or three caravans left on this lost place. Does this site still exist? I found it by accident when looking for the once famous spotting position...
@@tropenband camping is no more , is now no longer accessible , perimeter of high airport fence , at the moment rather interesting with some Cavok AN12 flights , we had UR-CBG and UR-CKM ( car part flights ) , till 12 July , planes arrive from Malmo , FLIGHTRADAR 24 is very useful , we still have some nice movements , one has to be lucky though , greetz
i can say that the building inside has no recollection as it once was , offices mostly empty , Chapman Freeborn and Uzbekistan office gone , stickers on the aviapartner office removed , sterile environment , a presentation of an electric car is shown : ridiculous if you ask me
Magnifique 757 cargo d'ETIOPIAN AL, certainement l'une des plus belles et des plus curieuses décorations de toute l'histoire de l'aviation. A noter que le sigle de la compagnie représente un lion avec un... pénis en érection (vrai!) Il a existé des 707 cargo et des 720 pareillement décorés.🤣🤣
Très amusant : le gros 707 DAS AIR CARGO laisse atterrir les petits avions de toursime... Quelque peu aberrant si l'on songe à tout le kérosène que brûlent ses quatre voraces réacteurs...! Ils devaient être prioritaires !
