I've had my Lightning since July, over 6k on the odometer. 3 things you didn't mention: 1- putting in reverse with tailgate down doesn't automatically switch the camera view to the bed 2- rain sensing windshield wipers, sometimes they work, often they don't 3- when bluecruise engages it's hands free mode, it drifts to the right of the lane before centering again. As for your complaints, seriously, you want to put a cheap lift on an expensive truck? Just don't. I get the seatbelt warning while moving my truck down the driveway, but it doesn't kick in until you hit 10 mph, not something to complain about. I do agree about it needing programmable buttons though. Bonus complaint- having to worry about ripping the hitch off because I punched it forgetting the trailer was connected. I'll live with this one though
I completely disagree with the independent rear suspension being an issue. No half ton pickup needs a solid rear end. I know all brodozer chads will be obliterating me in the comments but I'd even go as far as to say that if I can't convince you that ALL half tons should be IRS, at LEAST the Raptor should be. Don't think I have a point? Look at the Humvee. I'm not talking about not wussy ass rear suspension. It has an extreme duty double A-arm coilover IRS and heavy duty half shafts and differential to boot. Same on the front. You tryna tell me a Humvee has shit payload capacity, can't tow enough, and doesn't rise better than the living fossil rear axles OEMs are still slapping on half tons? NO. They literally ONLY put them on there as a cost saving measure and STILL turn around and sell you a mediocre truck for $80K. IRS can be designed to outperform SREs. Not the other way around, not in a low complexity, low weight way that doesn't interfere with fuel tanks and drive shafts and the like... Yes I am talking about double triangulated four links. Because panhard bars are a bandaid solution. Half tons should have IRS. Ford simply tested the waters by putting it on the lighting (also because it had to in order to fit the motors) to see how customers would react to moving a half ton truck FINALLY to a reasonable rear suspension design. Why with the lightning you ask? Because as I'm sure you've gathered, most Lightning buyers are fairly open minded to new technology and pushing the envelope of existing technology - except in this case, were finally moving from 1920s tech to maybe 1960s tech. Suspension systems haven't changed much since then, save for active damping, air suspension, things like magnaride, and perhaps supercar suspensions like the pushrod type used in Koenigseggs. Hasn't really been a need for it.
I hope they change the resistance heater to just a MAX option and add a heat pump as the primary source of cabin heat like some other EVs, which will greatly reduce range impact in cold weather!
It really doesn't have that big an impact in the cold. Cool weather, sure (above 30F), but not much below that. In recent testing the Mach-e (resistance heat) and the model Y with heat pump had the same range reduction at 10F.
I’m staying all gas vehicles if this trend keeps up. Seriously. I already don’t like that I have to use the touch screen for infotainment purposes. I’m not a Luddite but this is getting ridiculous. It started with Tesla model 3 and it’s just spreading like wildfire.

@@josephjupiter3982 that would be a good savings but the more reports that come out, I just can't see owning one.
