Sudocrem help reduce inflammation and redness on any active pimples for me. I just use as a spot treatment especially if I pop a pimple (which I try not to do!)

You didn't talk about natural Hypo pigmentation. I notice that scars tend to hypopigmentatize after hyper pigmentation. I notice this happen on my scars and acne scars of my brother . First they become dark and if you don't touch or apply anything they become lighter or hypo pigmentation .

i loove this! just found out that i have PIE and still have small inflamed acne on my cheeks, wonder which products good for calming the skin? tried hyaluronic acid and centella, it's fine but i want to reduce the redness.
Yeaahh centella asiatica reduce redness! The product i recommend is skin 1004 madagascar centella ampoule and be plain ampoule. Hydrate ur skin (hyaluronic issa good choice) and repair ur skin barrier. A good ingredients for skin barrier is ceramide, cica, snail, hyaluronic acid, and centella asiatica also could help! I think the key of good skin barrier is hydrated skin anyways ;)

Heads up to anyone looking to buy Purito sunscrean, they was some controversy around their products not being as protective as they've said so I'd recommend researching before you buy.
I have PIE but im scared to try vitamin C because I tried the Melano CC which is a japanese brand and my whole face broke out :'( I applied it in the morning and when I look at the mirror at night I have red acne and fungal acne on my cheeks and forehead and my heart literally sank.
Me and you have the same problem. I’m scared to use any products because I’m afraid I’ll breakout. Especially chemical exfoliants. But also perhaps because it was too high of a concentration. And I heard using “magnesium phosphate.” Formulated with the vit c helps with irritation. But also maybe your vitamin C reacted badly with another product you were using. Best wishes tho
@@sadiakhan967 Okay thank you! Right now I am using a derivative of vitamin C. It’s 10% and I use it in a pure serum from The Ordinary and then I have that same derivative in a toner from the Good Molecule. But once I finish my vitamin c, I’ll try out that one. Thank you!
Well guess what! I’ve used all of these products mentioned for over 6 months and nothing. Finished about 12 bottles of niacinamide from the ordinary. Used AHA/BHA twice a week. Never missing sunscreen, my moisturizer is vitamin c + Hyaluronic acid tube from the ordinary, my toner is infused with rosehill and green tea. Forgot to mention, I’m vegan, sugar free, dairy free, gluten free and drink 2 liters of water daily. Exercise every two days. Acne still there. You can’t fight it. Just accept yourself and live with it.
Omg, SAME. I don't understand why the hell I still have it. I want to cry everytime I look at myself in the mirror, it's so frustrating and so unfair. I don't know what my skin wants at all, I see all these products that are supposed to be great on your skin, that have different benefits, but they don't seem to work and I don't know what to do. Right now I just use a cleanser and a moutirizer to not overdo it, both from cerave because it's supposed to be a good brand, but my skin is bumpy, I have black and white heads and I have horrible acne scars even though I was so gentle cleansing. I just feel like giving up but when I go outside with my sister, who has clear skin, I just get more desperate
you can try retinols/tretinols i have seen a lot of people with medium to severe acnes used it and it worked. You have to be patient though bc your skin will purge at first but then it’s worth it at the end. Hope this help!

@@gingerbreadmen5401 awww literally when I was young I never knew skin could affect you so much, as I grew older I realised how much it affects me mentally and physically. Hope your doing okay ❤️
My mom doesn’t want me to get anything for my dark spots because it’s “not that bad” I have a circle in the middle of my forehead that everyone can see wdym... 😕
@@Filialunae9 Me three. I'm dealing with the same. Let's all get in a groupchat and cheer each other up :D
I‘m always afraid of using vitamin c in the morning, cuz in the evening I either use aha + bha or azelaic acid from paulas choice. So my skin is thinner and more sensitive due to the acids. But I need vitamin c in my routine :( thank you for explaining everything so easily!
Did you got any vitamin C serum?
I like watching you because you make things so easy to understand and I have for head bumps that I’ve been struggling with for over 2 years. They leave dark spot and everything I’ve used has not worked. I watched ur video on tiny bumps and I bought the Cerave Sa cleanser. I have brown skin so sometimes things are harder. But you have helped me and u deserve more subscribers. Your videos are so nicely set up too.
You deserve more attention!! I love your vids!!
Loved this!!! Didn’t know PIE was a thing 😲
Thank you so much . You’re a great skincare RUclipsr! Helped me a lot
I have tiny red marks that annoy me and take too long to clear. My dermatologist kept recommending bleaching products which irritates my skin and even told me fractional laser and didn’t clear the marks and and only caused breakouts! after learning about PIE it makes my treatment so much easier.
Some laser are worse for pie and despigmentant products neighter, maybe acelaic acid
I never knew i had PIE, thank you for making this really helped me!
Thankyou for such a great video, there isn't much on this topic on youtube!
Aww thanks so much!! Let me know if there’s anything else you want me to talk about!!

You are the most beautiful woman I ever have seen . Thank you for the information and i learned a lot about my own skin. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
no wonder Alpha Arbutin has not helped me so far, I’ve been using the wrong treatment :’)
i have PIH and i've had them for 4 years now...i don't think they're going away
Super helpful video! I'm a teen and I have no acne, however, I have PIE acne marks/scars. I would love to know how to develop a skincare routine for teens and to get rid of the acne marks. Can you please make a video about this? Thank you!!!
omg i have been treating my skin wrong this entire time🤯🤯
Thanks so much for this! Very informative. Can't wait to try some of the product you recommended!

Cathy on Skincare thank you so much ❤️
why are there no ads on this video? Seriously this video was great and I ended up purchasing some of the products you mentioned for PIH- which I didn't even know what to call before this video
I have alot of PIE and I use the AHA/BHA exfoliant and 1% retinol serum from the ordinary both twice a week. Glycolic acid toner an the niacinamide serum in my pm routine from the ordinary. Two times a day I use my neutrogena salicylic acid cleanser and I double moisturize with the Neutrogena anti pimple moisturizer and hyaluronic acid serum from the ordinary.
U honestly couldn't tell me acnes gone cuz its still so red
I had the same issue however I started using the Inkey List Alpha Arbutin and tranexamic acid night treatment. It’s making a huge difference
Love this video. I just found out everything that I bought was for PIH. Some were kind of expensive too
Tysm for this info! Ily!
and I'm here as a mixed guy having both
What type of Laser u suggest for PIE ???
Please help me someone I'm crying rn. My skin has so much scarring from pimples. They're red, white, brown, grey... ALL THE COLOURS!! Some of it is from picking or popping them which I deeply regret and some of it just happened by itself😭😭. Please help me I think I'm scarred for life. It's so ugly and the tissue for some of my scarss are like different from the rest of my skin and it looks quite dry and unrivalled up!!😭😭 please someone tell me it will get better i have panic attacks looking at the mirror because I think I'm gonna be ugly for life. I'm 13 and have sensitive skin that's oily on my tzone if that helps.
dont worry it will get better! I used to have super bad discoloration all over my face from cystic acne and if you just give it some time (it can take up to 6 months but in the long run that isn’t very long) and use something like azelaic acid to help fade the scars. If you are able to I would recommend going to a dermatologist so they can help you with the acne and scarring more effectively. You’re still young and I know it can seem like the worst thing that could possibly happen to you but I promise it’s gonna get better 💗💗
Very informative, auto subscribe to your channel, love from Manila PH.
omg thanks i found u here, i've been thinking what's best for my pie, can u please recommend me some skin care products that not too pricey:(?
i didn't know what should i do:( it's been a month and i still don't find a perfect skin care that will get rid of my acne, acne scars (redness, pie).
My original skin color is black/ brown and also I have post inflammatory pigmentation which is dark brown color spots formed by acne and also I have pigmentations near my mouth and cheeks area, so I have been recommended to Alpha Arbutin, Azelaic Acid and Niacinamide by the ordinary team but I am a bit worried for a couple reasons where the first one is 1) will this product make my skin brighter in color because I only want to even up my skin tones and fade the pigmentations, and I don’t want my face to be brighter than my body. 2) can the Alpha Arbutin and Azelaic acid and the Niacinamide make my skin darker after I stop using it as I already have a dark skin shade.
And my last question is, for how long should I keep using this products?? ( I don’t want to stop using this products and face the same discoloration problem back again) and how should I stop using it ??
Omg too bad that I discover this channel too late. This is indeed informative. Can I ask if Vit C can be use together with AHA? Thank you☺️
can you do a video on your thoughts on the dr. jarts tiger grass collection?
Suggest a good sunscreen for oily acne skin..
Thank you so much cathy i've learned a lot with this video, I have PIH and I know what to do now ☺☺it was a pleasure
Needed this video. Thanks (:
mane here i am before i’ve deal with acne since 8th grade i’m about to go into 10th in 1 month and i’ve cleared my skin 3 times idk how i’ve gotten my skin clear the last 2 times i’ve tried many things and what i remember using but hasn’t worked all tho i been eating and not sleeping well past 2 months due to summer so i might now why
You didn't talk about natural Hypo pigmentation. I notice that scars tend to hypopigmentatize after hyper pigmentation. I notice this happen on my scars and acne scars of my brother . First they become dark and if you don't touch or apply anything they become lighter or hypo pigmentation .
You can check out Dr V! ruclips.net/video/ej3Qqi_GmIA/видео.html. She does a lot of skin care for PIH people and ppl of color (Asians, Hispanics, African, and Indians)
Hi Cathy! What are your opinions on alpha arbutin for PIE? Pls respond ❤️
Your videos are simply the best!
can you make a video on best products/treatments for adult acne plz

I think i have a mix of both cause when I don’t put sunscreen it light pink but if I put sunscreen it’s a brownish color
Wc is more effectiv for pinksh acne scars, vit c pr niacinamide?
Will Alpha Arbutin also help with PIE? It should convert to Hydroquinone on your skin as far as I know.
i loove this!
just found out that i have PIE and still have small inflamed acne on my cheeks, wonder which products good for calming the skin?
tried hyaluronic acid and centella, it's fine but i want to reduce the redness.
Low key need to know what lip gloss you are wearing 👁👄👁
As soon as you said vit c I switvued it off. Dr dray, the number leading dermatolgist on RUclips says vit c is rubbish for fading marks.
So out of all the ingredients you mentioned which ones best for PIH? I recently bought The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin
just wanna tell from my own experience niacinamide CAN irritate your skin and it just didn't work for me
Same
Same everytime I use the product
I get tiny bumps
I Can say, yes chemical pelling made my skin worse... ( Lot of redness )
Anyone know which lip gloss she's using? It's so nice
Tea tree serums and creams has helped PREVENT Some dark marks Some products that has helped my PIH.. I'm 40 yrs old medium tan skin tone.. my skin is mostly clear except oily hormonal breakouts with hormonal breakouts so I get super dark marks *Advanced Clinicals tea tree serum, *Isntree green tea fresh toner and *Cosrx Oil Free moisturizer are great .. if I have any spots from *Cosrx retinol cream helps ... I can't use pure vitamin c so instead I use *Advanced Clinicals vit c serum for spot treating, thier vitamin c cream (for face and body) .. the key is to find out what ingredients help in preventing which is possible
She is an Angel
still confused . the spots on the apples of my cheeks are reddish and the ones on my forehead are darker . do i have to use different products?
Dr dennis gross alpha beta peel extra strength broke me out badly
Heads up to anyone looking to buy Purito sunscrean, they was some controversy around their products not being as protective as they've said so I'd recommend researching before you buy.
Good spot 👀 ! I actually posted a video about that but I’ll edit the description of this video so that people are aware!
i have purple pigmentation on my forehead and chin and red pigmentation on my cheeks
I have PIE but im scared to try vitamin C because I tried the Melano CC which is a japanese brand and my whole face broke out :'(
I applied it in the morning and when I look at the mirror at night I have red acne and fungal acne on my cheeks and forehead and my heart literally sank.
Hey ! Dear Kalirs vitamin c serum is really good, u can give it a try as it has very low concentration of vitamin c
Thank you!
What if I have both??? ☹️
What if the redness doesn't disappear but you know it's not PIH because the marks are red and nor brown?
thank you for the video, but i have a question how should i use vitamin c and niacinamide together??
So informative 👍
Well guess what! I’ve used all of these products mentioned for over 6 months and nothing. Finished about 12 bottles of niacinamide from the ordinary. Used AHA/BHA twice a week. Never missing sunscreen, my moisturizer is vitamin c + Hyaluronic acid tube from the ordinary, my toner is infused with rosehill and green tea. I use all of the above ingredients in my skin care routine and have been over 6 months. Nothing’s changed. All these youtubers are lieing.
These RUclipsrs aren’t lying different products work for different people
you can try retinols/tretinols i have seen a lot of people with medium to severe acnes used it and it worked. You have to be patient though bc your skin will purge at first but then it’s worth it at the end. Hope this help!
don't lose hope
I think now it might help going to a dermatologist if everything you're doing isn't helping
