Thank you so much for this information! I have been researching ways to get my degree faster while still being able to attend a grad school of my choice. This answered it for me and gave me reassurance. Thank you
Psych degree would help for masters in ABA for your BCBA cert. That’s a very uncommon and high demand degree that rarely anyone talks about. There’s roughly 60k BCBAs in the country and people wait years to get one for their services
How could I obtain letters of recommendation for OSMCS at Georgia Tech, considering WGU doesn't allow Course Instructors to write letters on their letterhead.
@@alexsheppe They have an AA program which requires a bachelors as one of the pre-reqs.( regionally accredited). WGU is regionally accredited, but they wont accept it because they're saying it's a PASS or FAIL degree without an actual GPA. 😭Any advice?
@ashiyabrown2968 There is a GPA on it, if they actually read the official transcript they would see WGU says their transcript is equivalent to a 3.0 GPA. I would appeal. And if they reject it, it’s not a school you want to deal with anyway.
How does this work if WGU doesn't give GPA's? I'm reconsidering starting in December simply because I don't understand. From my understanding they just pass or fail you.
@@alexsheppeok thanks. I been looking into them but don’t see any videos on the program and they severely rush you into signing up for classes when you call
@ThaColonel They are non profit and regionally accredited. It would be fine on a resume. The issue is the classes are not the greatest standard, plus it’s wayyyyy too expensive. WGU is way cheaper!
Can you go over , or do you know if you get a CS degree at WGU. Is it possible to get into a masters program for CE or EE. Like how difficult would that process be. I want to become an engineer but with my 2 year degree in CS now it would take me 3 years to complete a engineer program. But if I went to WGU and received my BS it would be more beneficial IMO to then go for masters vs the 3 year for a BS. Also upon my evaluation from a 2 year degree to WGU the credits that was transferred were very disappointing.
Honestly not sure if you can get into an EE Masters Program. Also if you need more credits to go into your wgu degree before you start, use ace credits such as study.com
Hey, thanks for the video. I've recently received my CS degree from WGU, and I've taken the GRE as well, performing very well on it (167 verbal, 170 math, 5.5 AWA). I live really close to GA Tech, and I figure I'll have no problem getting into their CS MS program (especially with my GRE score); however, I'm more interested in studying for a MS in Mathematics, being that I'm a pretty serious math hobbyist with a strong knowledge of the subject. Should I try to talk to the graduate admissions office about my situation and see how flexible they are? Or do you think that it would be best to just stick with CS? Of course, my concern lies in how few math courses there were in WGU's CS degree.
For job purposes I’d do the CS degree, but a CS Bachelors and Math Masters is still gonna land some really good careers. You might need to add calc 2, 3, linear algebra, etc to be approved for a Graduate Math Program.
@@alexsheppe Thanks for the fast response. Do you know of any way to complete higher level math courses without enrolling in some school's degree program? That's my main issue right now... my local colleges seem to only offer basic courses to students who aren't enrolled.

Of course!!
@@alexsheppeI had a question earlier, but it got deleted? Np.
@Narmiavoe I didn’t delete anything on my end, what was the question?
That's great to hear... I was definitely concerned.

Thanks Alex!

Hmm? I had a course instructor from WGU write one for me and my Program Mentor.
You could try the Coursera route on University of Colorado.
DSU Dakota State University Has a pretty legit online Phd program fairly affordable too
How the class at Thomas Eddies in computer science?
South University's Admissions says they will not accept my Bachelors from WGU. I'm pissed.
Need a little more context here

Final Transcript states it’s equivalent to 3.0.
Do you have any comments on National University? I cannot see alot of information about them.
I researched them a while for their MS in Computer Science. I’ll write more later.

No issue

@dwellinginshadows Find an online community colleges that accepts out of state students. Most do.
What if I got a bs in mis then I want to apply to Georgia tech computer science master program?
Should be fine if you have the required courses. Discrete Math being one of them.
@@alexsheppe I’m just stick with computer science at tesu. Any reason you chose tesu over wgu?
Could you do a review on the BA degree in CS at TESU? I also considered this program but the fact that it's a BA and not a BS made me think twice.
