I got my Bachelors at WGU 5 years ago and had no problems with exams. Loved my experience. I started my masters this month and it’s been a nightmare trying to take the exam. I have tried for a whole week to take my first exam and spent over an hour and a half each time and kept having to do the pre checks over and over again. I would get so frustrated that I stopped. I know it’s not on my end. I’m done trying and going to transfer to a different school.

My only issue with this major is it has almost nothing to do with MIS it's almost all project management. I just started looking at getting this degree or the Bachelor of Liberal Studies -Management Information Systems Minor and that degree actually has a few more MIS type classes. I have been in I.T. for about 25 years and management specifically for the last 10 of those and was originally looking at WGU but I didn't want to power through all the certifications. The one degree however has the dreaded Liberal Studies so I'm kind of conflicted.

Does UMPI not accept Sofia courses? Is there a reason why you dont have any listed on the spreadsheet for Sofia?

I start October 1st. I've been in the industry for 5 years now, all as a System Admin, self taught and no certifications. The only thing I've felt holding me back was lack of "education". I'm excited and hopeful this degree will check that box in the future. Once that's done, I'll think about getting some certs (finally lol)

Didn't know nursing is still a big deal. There was a period when folks were saying it was chocked up and hiring was in a decline but I guess since covid and America's population is becoming an aging one, nurses are top priority for health sector employment once again. The tech degrees have been showing good potential over the past decade and I doubt it's going to stop even with influencers hinting that "tech jobs have finished and AI now own all tech jobs"

Hi there! I've got my A+, Net+, Sec+, Google Cybersecurity, isc2 CC certifications and studying for my CISSP. I also have an AA degree and an AAS degree. After CISSP I am thinking of getting my degree in Cybersecurity. I feel like I may have a lot that will transfer in. I'm looking at probably going to WGU though regardless. I work full time as well. Do you think it is possible to get the degree in one term? If not, no worries. Passing the classes at WGU...do they actually have tests, or do you have to obtain certifications to pass classes?

Do the WGU undergraduate education degrees have a teaching requirement? Asking because it seems like a great way to hack a math degree, but I'm not interested in classroom teaching.

Follow up question if I have extra time if I was to finish earlier then the term could I use that extra time to do the masters or another bachelors degree if I wanted to double major?

Question just curious but if you end up hacking the degree and or getting all the classes you needed to get done for the degree in less than the 6 month term do you have to wait for the term to be over or does your adviser send you your degree right after you finish?

I’ve tried to get the discount via my phone but it won’t work Will it work if done on the computer? Also - I have a first BA and want to do the health science degree at WGU. How can I go about it? Your sheet is only for those without any previous courses I believe? I was debating to do nursing but have no sciences at all in my previous BA. So health science will be much faster? I want to do PA school later on so health sciences makes more sense to me: and my first Ba is kind of worthless for any job since it was a DIY called university studies and it’s mainly health, psych, some nutrition, ethics and language classes.. Nursing school is like a lot of other degrees. Take engineering. For example. Your first two years is doing all the maths and physics, and general education. The second two years is more focused on what engineering discipline you will be learning. Most degrees are like this. Also, those other schools that you can get your nursing degree in one year, not only do you need a bachelor degree, but you need all the prereqs that will can take up to a year to get before you ever actually get into nursing school. So they're not really only a year.
