Yo Mike, just wanted to say I'm glad you've been covering games like ShadowDark. Especially in a long form format. Good to see more examples in the Dungeon-tuber realm of indie games and happy to hear you and your table are enjoying it. 🎲✊

Great setup and session description. Poor Moragin but it was an epic death so it's still all good.
Mike, I know you spend a lot of time waffling about whether you're being "true to the OSR" or "true to Shadowdark" but honestly, in standing by Moragin's death, you're staying true to the OSR. This is the kind of character death that has meaning. It was epic, not because it was planned in advance or built up to, but because it was honest, determined by the dice. That's what it's all about. Player choices have consequences and everybody (even Moragin's player!) was on board with that. RIP Moragin.

Wonder how the party felt after concluding the combat? Feels like a lot of down beats in a row (to reference another piece of Mike wisdom!), particularly if they now have to persuade the new lich to stay good

Mike, you should rename your campaign to, "Eviscerations R' Us!" 😅
