Kudos to the strange, beautiful brain of Neil Cicierega!
For some reason, this movie reminds me of Bubble Guppies. Maybe it’s the imagery of some of the songs and the design of the dance stage reminds me of the space concert hall. Sun Beautiful Sun is the song that seems to have the most connections to Fantasia 2000 for me.
i think stravinsky would be very p[eased with the way the firebird segment is presented, its my favourite part of fantasia 2000

27:52 I have to disagree with Stravinsky about what the amount of listeners does for music.
Many people learned to love classical music and learned to play thanks to a cartoon rabbit!
Everyone starts somewhere, take Neopets as a more modern example. Lots of people with tech/web jobs got started by designing "pet pages" and "user lookups".
The same happens with music and all art, without new blood, the art dies.
Fantasia 2000 is actually my favorite Disney movie of all time
Both Fantasia movies combined are my favorite movie of all time!
The original Fantasia was wonderful, but Fantasia 2000 was a huge disappointment. It assumes the audience has no attention span. For instance, as you say, just 2 minutes of "Carnival of the Animals," and those two minutes are in effect the "returning for bows" part of the piece.
