This guy was fucking brilliant and I don't care what anyone says. First of all, no human being should be that good looking. Second, rhythmically his stuff was amazing. Stage presence, charisma, songwriting, hooks. Adam has it all. Yep, I've had a mancrush on this guy for a LOOONG time...
It's all rather silly but DAMN does it kick ass.

Saw him in Torquay Xmas 2019,,,and wasn't expecting that much tbh, as had seen him live with my baby sitter back in the early 80s in his pomp, but was pleasantly surprised by how good a show he still puts on, he must of been on stage for 2 and a half hours and sang 20 plus songs, which is a lot longer/more than any other younger bands/performers who I have seen live recently 👌 Legend 😎

I'm on the same boat as you Francis, but I think Adam and the Ants might be an exception to the rule. I just saw him recently at the Keswick and wondered how I missed him back in the day, but then remembered my introduction to him was "Goody Two Shoes". He (they) still rock, so go see him next time he's in town and mitigate your regrets.

Being a recent convert to Adam and the Ants, I regret never seeing any KOTWF concerts in the USA. I was in college and baby sis liked him (via Mtv) so naturally I couldn't. No-one told me how nail-biting killer gorgeous he was or about his B-sides! Definitely not for kids! He knew how to seduce his audience! A music history tragedy that only 2 full length concerts captured his beyond exciting performance! And why does the war paint make him so sexy? His face was so expressive! I'm an addict now!

I saw them on the tour previous to this. They were a fine live band who put on a great show. At the time I was dismayed by the pop direction that they headed off in. I drew the line at Stand And Deliver. I've mellowed over the decades and I can appreciate the later stuff. Young fans sometmes make the mistake of thinking that the groups they admire are somehow theirs and that they should produce material to satisfy their wants. Obviously that's not the case. People mature and artistes develop and that's just the way it is. Gary Tibbs is a great bassist who enhanced the band.

'Killer in the home' has for years reminded me of one of those 'Proto-Goth' songs that you hear in the songs of certain like minded Punk bands who's music had taken on a sound we would now call 'Proto-Goth', I dunno why but it would feature really well in a C-90 mixtape of bands like P.I.L, Banshees, ANTS,Damned, Toyah, MC5, Cure, Joy Division, early Human League, velvet Underground, and so-on, etc.
Yeah, those bands could make up more than really good mixtape. (---for those who understand.)😄
