Boosting Performance
The new standard 3.5L PFDI V6 gas engine provides ample power compared to the 3.7L engine it replaces. An updated 3.5L EcoBoost V6 gas engine is also available. Both Transit engines are paired to the new 10‑speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability.
Styling Enhancements
The Transit family of vans is designed to provide visibility and offer the right combination of lengths and roof heights for each customer. For 2020, Transit adds new upper and lower fascia and new grille designs. Passenger Van XL and XLT have new front fog lamps plus chrome grille accents.
New Seating Choice
Driven by improved comfort and convenience, new swivel driver and front-passenger seats are available in Cargo Van and Cutaway models.
Advancing Technology
Ford Co‑Pilot360 is standard on Transit Vans, including the Lane-Keeping System and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), includes Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning with Dynamic Brake Support. FordPass Connect, which features a Wi‑Fi hotspot, and Ford Telematics capability is also new for 2020.
Safe Places
Transit is equipped with AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) that employs sensors to monitor vehicle stability and help drivers maintain control in less-than-ideal conditions. @@garydauksch We actually build this out into a custom Moto Van. Towing depends on configuration of Engine, 150, 250, 350, roof, and length. Ranges from 4,200 to 7,500. This one was 6,100.
@@LascoFord I have a 2021 F150 with the same powertrain and it tows much more. What is the limiting factor on the van? I have a camper that weighs about 7500 and would love to have a van that could haul 2 or 3 bikes while pulling this camper.
No... I wouldn't say that designing a filler cap that cannot be opened without also opening the driver door is "brilliant".

Just ordered mine in cargo version. All options except I needed SRW vs dual.
If Ford were to make improvements in the future, I’d like vented seats. I always get leather but hate the summer sweats... our f-150’s and 350’s have ventilation on the leather and it helps a lot.
The other improvement would be an option for an inverter option with plugs rails in the back.
Another nice to have is offer same colors as on the f-150 on the exterior.
Finally, offer a “Raptor Van”. Make the AWD more robust and 33” tire package. This would be a huge conversion van sales hit.

@@kevinerickson84 I believe Ford would sell a lot of raptor type vans... if they offered them with about 4”’more of clearance and 33” tires. The off road RV world would buy them up.

The whole wind thing he said isn't true. I've had the 2018 door come flying towards me with strong enough wind, and that magnet looks just the same size. That phone guillotine pocket is pointless! I never used it once in 6 years of driving a 2018 transit

That's par for the course on the new vehicles, they just move them on and off trailers and into the bay for PDI. This is all low-speed 1st gear stuff.
What is the length of the cargo area between second row of seats to the back doors? I'm wondering what size ladder I can fit in the back with removing the second row of seats.

You didn’t mention if it has dual batteries. That’s a sharp looking 350.
This particular Transit does have dual batteries. Sorry we did not mention that in the video. It is however an option so anyone looking for that would want to be sure they have it as a line item.
Lasco Ford I have a 2017 Ford Transit 350 mid roof with ego boost. I like this van but I really wanted the AWD high roof van with ego boost. So I ordered one in May. After seeing your video, I wish I ordered the HD 350 with duals and the extended van. The one I’m getting isn’t extended and it’s only a 250. I ordered the Kapoor red. I wanted another 350 but the guy at Newberg Ford said you can’t get it if you want the 10 way power seats. You have to get the 250 if you want the power seats. I’m also getting an inverter.

I have a 2019 f250 crew cab long bed gas engine truck and a 2016 chevy express 3500 6.0 engine gas. This van would replace both jobs. For camping and hauling my atvs. This van is on my list and would use it as my daily driver. I just would add more seats. Cant wait to own one.

I bought the 2020 Transit AWD Ecoboost and took it thru its paces on a trip to Wyoming and Utah, including a lot of off-road driving and steep mountain driving, and thus far I am really happy with this vehicle

Is this a 4 x 4?
It does full time AWD or no awd with front wheel drive. There is no part time 4x4 system like there is on trucks.
I've always had a Transit, my last one was a 1978 mk1 with a V8 slapped in it...nice. back in 2015 I bought a brand new 290 2.2 sport van that I keep in my garage.
But I was really upset to learn that you can get this V8 in America but not here, I wish there was someone in England doing V8 conversions.
This isn't a V8 Dave, it has an optional 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 with port and direct fuel injection, 10spd auto with torque converter. Any V8 would be not from the factory.

Interesting you don't have the heated windshield? In the UK our transits come with an electrically heated one. Is it an option in the US?
Us laws and vehicle regulations take the fun out of owning a car no we don’t get that option we only hAve dumb hvac heater
@@erikgonzalez2278 wow ok, seems strange to not allow that, Ford’s quick clear screens have been in the UK and Europe since the early 80’s. Even with a screen covered in ice, within 5 mins the screen is clear. It’s a very good system

Came to the us maybe 10 years ago. I’m not sure if it’s regulation that US can’t have them or just the cost.
@@erikgonzalez2278 yeah strange one that! In the UK, all Ford cars and most vans have them as standard. Some of the lower spec vans its an option. Don't even think its that much when specified from new.
@@petedrake1 I wouldn’t think so it doesn’t cost much but my guess is considering Ford just brought the transit here to the US and our chicken tax or laws it’s just too costly UK and Europe are lucky to get the vans and cars they do. I’d love a small diesel here in the us but we only have the 2.7 Duramax diesel in the Chevys that normal everyday people can buy. Soon I’d like to see the 2.0 bi turbo that we’re getting from Ford for the transit. I’ve driven the 3.5 normally aspirated with the 10 speed man that 10 speed makes the t250 van it hauls down the road.

@@charliardoin4434 The diesel is not for sale in the Transit in the United States. The 2021 Transit literally has two engine options in the united states, a 3.5 liter v6 and another 3.5 liter v6 with twin turbochargers. Did the USD not tell you this isn't Limeyland?
