That bar is so layered, obviously first thing is he means is hes cutting up bricks of coke but the 118 refers to Bus the goes through Brixton in london.
Brix and Bricks both being cut through, Dave's wordplay is exceptional
Adding on - the 118 bus smashed through bricks when it crashed into a house years ago. Also referencing the “call 118-118” which is an older UK advert where the two guys run through the brick wall. One of my favourite Dave bars tbh

Tough init lol, they know they are bars because they sound and land like real heavy bars, they just can't quite work out why or how even though it's plain English. Understandable though. Bus numbers, niche parts of East London like Bow lol
@makoto3212 no, we definitely do. maybe not with some mainstream artists.... but we have plenty of artists that play with double-meanings and flip syllables. we dont have as many references that are as hard to spot though because much of the world consumes US media

I don’t think any American can grasp 50% of these bars without spending time here. So many local references it’s not worth starting to explain.
