My hair loss I blame on stress. My head was so soar I had to shampoo it in cold water. That was sixty plus years ago! So I started taking large doses of kelp and brewer's yeast and it worked . Now aged eighty-four I am going through the same process and once again it works even the grey hair is changing back to its original colour.

Basically your gut health has lot to do with your hair growth. If your gut is in poor condition it will effect your overall health and that includes hair. If you are not absorbing the nutrients and vitamins in your gut it doesn’t matter what you take. So start with a healthy gut for successful regrowth.

My cosmetic solution is to buy a multi-shade pallet of brown eye shadow and a medium large cosmetic applicator brush for blush. I then spray hair spray very lightly on the graying area, and apply the brown eye shadow. It works really well right now. I do not want to use poisonous hair dyes. @@fairenough7984 The only TRUE natural hair coloring that lasts - that I have found - is henna. It colors the hair red. Then you go over the red with Indigo which turns it brown. Only problem is if you try to bleach it to remove the color, it will turn bright aquamarine blue! And if you use fake henna, like Surya Creme (it has chemical solvents in it that ruin your hair over time. Terrible stuff) you CANNOT use bleach or regular box dye or your hair will either melt, or burst into flames. Not even joking. :) But they sell "natural" hair dyes, that have some natural ingredients plus all the usual harmful dyes.

Centerline about 5" by 11 " top of head is a MINEFIELD. Soaks up DHT like a sponge. My first groups of 1000 grafts lasted 5 - 6 years. I began a series of scalp excisions taking 55 sq in of bald space down to 27 inches. Transplanted 11,000 mini grafts but they lasted 3 years to four years. 12 years ago, after a 3 year regimen of Minoxidil and Finasteride THEN I did 7500 grafts plus about 1500 neck and beard grafts and here we are 12 years later, and I've 90% of what I transplanted left.

My experience was that shaving to the skin - using 000 blade on Oster professional clippers - caused what appeared to be double density of individual follicles and normal growth coming in where near baldness was present. TO BE CLEAR one was my niece who had been on scalp electrodes after birth and by age 2 still had a nearly bald crown and ring around the occipital also nearly bald. And working in hair cutting in the 90's I did a LOT of bowl cuts (shaved from nape & ear to occipital area.) For my niece I shaved her whole head about every 2 weeks for 3 or 4 months and then let it grow back in. Her hair grew in uniformly and very thick, which it has remained for about 17 years so far. For the boys and men I shaved virgin hair and had such frequent repeats that I really got to know them. In general side-burn and side scalp hair got thicker both in coarseness and density - to the point that I worried these guys were going to regret the hairstyle as they aged (because the top was SO different) My nephews, who's hair I still do still have the same pattern of density - the sides are about double the top and they have gone to #2-4 tappers into longer tops (your normal 1950-1980 business cut.) However the coarseness of the sides and back have evened back out after years of not shaving. Despite the fact that the longer hair is still cut with the same clippers using a guard.

Those long term hair transplant photos are just as likely to be because the original hair that was in the recipient area continued to thin and fall out after the transplant just as you would expect, not because the transplanted hairs fell out. Especially since people have a tendency to slack off on the pharmaceuticals after the transplant because they don't feel the same urgency they did when they looked bald. I've seen guys where you can tell that all that's left are the thick transplants.

Talking about hair transplants thinning - could that just be the non-transplanted hairs continuing with their own miniaturization and loss process *around* the hairs that were transplanted? As you mentioned, it is always highly recommended to stay on medical treatments like finasteride even after a hair transplant. And actually, most recommend to not even attempt a transplant until you have been on finasteride for a year and confirmed that it effectively stabilized your loss. If finasteride doesn't work for you, then a transplant will likely lead to bad situations in 5+ years, where the transplants remain but your natural hair continued to thin and fall out and your hair pattern is a mess.

Also, earthing/grounding is scientifically shown to reduce inflammation. Best thing is it's free. Hardest thing is to do it enough to see big improvements.
