Funny how racism in Star Wars wasn't a thing until Disney bought the IP.
I know right everybody loved Billy Dee Williams as Lando calories he had nobody complained because it was a black man in Star Wars.
I seen the Empire strikes back at the theater and the whole audience cheered the moment he walked on to the screen. And there wasn't one black person in the theater.
Not because of racism or anything like that. I lived in a very small town and we just didn't have any.
The only thing that anybody criticized him for was wearing the same outfit as Han Solo. But as the kid I just figured it was some sort of uniform for pilots.

Suits, White Collar, My Wife and Kids etc. All these older shows have had a huge resurgence lately and it's because people miss when television was well made and had love and effort put into them. Two "old" shows I started watching this past year The Closer and Medium are awesome shows that blow everything now out of the water!

As a gay man, I have a lot of overlapping experience with others in the LGBT community, and while I may not understand the struggle of a trans person, I can empathize, and if they want me to use a pronoun, I'll do so. That's also an example of using "They" to represent an individual. I want to be the kind of friend that respects those around me enough to comply with a request like that, and I don't need to care about chromosomes to be that person. I also have nothing but respect for the struggle of the black community and other marginalized groups. I regularly donate to causes that support better inclusion and vote against candidates that promote ideas that deny personal freedoms. I certainly consider myself "Woke" in that I am willing to listen and respond in a respectful manner. This show's problems have absolutely nothing to do with LGBT or racial inclusion, it's all very basic writing and continuity problems that should result in a failing grade had the screenplay been turned in as a college assignment. I am very frustrated to have my community used as an excuse for the showrunner's gross incompetence, and the writing is so bad that I give the actors generally a pass, but only where they're able to say that they tried their best given what they had to work with. The cast, writers, and showrunners that are claiming bigotry and racism here cheapen the entire cause, where this actually does happen.
I'm going to have to disagree some. LGBT has become a political movement. Add the Qs and the + and you have a political rollercoster that throws anyone off the top who doesn't exactly agree with them, villanizing them the entire way down. This may not be what LGBT was originally meant to be, but it has been hijacked by the woke far left, which is likely why the cause seems cheapened to you in situations where bigotry and racism do actually happen. This show, along with many others that are created today, are very anti-racist (which IS racist). Disney has made their woke agenda perfectly clear with statements they've made and the content they've produced. This is the problem with Disney in general and may trickle down to content they produce, including the acolyte.
I don't think you're "woke", as you seem willing to have a conversation, but maybe simply left leaning. You may share some common ground with the true wokists, but be careful, they'll chew you up and spit you out as soon as you disagree with them on any small manner.
