I was very much looking forward to this review. I was considering my next purchase. A Brinyte PT16 or a Fenix PD40R v3.0. Yes I am aware one is a thrower and the other is more of a flooder. After watching your review of the PT16 I came to the conclusion that I had gotten by watching other reviews. This thing cost too much for what it is. Brinyte is going to have to cut their pricing by 30% before I will consider them competitive. I appreciate as always your honest and comprehensive review.
I would agree with you exactly. I mean I love that this is super well built and very capable with a nice large cell and type-C BUT that price is very high. If i was standing in a store looking at lights I would been asking the manager for a discount on that price. They have done almost everything well with this one. Excellent thrower and I know I had a bee in my bonnet about the USB flap but im picky. I will say Brinyte have been making well made lights that i enjoy using but when Sofirn and Wurkkos can make extremely good budget lights it shows what can be done for a lower price. Price point is something they can play with by having discounts and sales i guess though.
These are showing "only" $80 for me on Amazon in California right now, but still as someone who doesn't really need a tail clicker, I think I'll stick with the IF22A.
@@TrailTrekThey could easily make them smoother with just 1 extra step. If you have access to a wire wheel that would work too just be careful not to scratch the finish.

80 dollars for this is an excellent and fair deal all the prices here are stupid and high. The IF22 is for its lower price and incredible light.
I hate when the threads or so sharp they destroy the O -.Ring! I prefer the lanyard without writing on them too!!
Agree with you. I think its probably more effort for them to make the non sharp threads but they are very annoying.
