There was it was one other time when he kind of did something similar when he was out of commission a little bit later on in the series...after eating too much bacon. He just kind of knew everything that happened and didn't need anything explained to him

It's a Buddhism thing, if I'm not mistaken. Within the series, two of Goku's former masters use the ability. It's basically a way of saying "Goku is a master now."
He also used the ability during the Buu saga. It's not something that he demonstrated often, but he has used it more than once

16:38 Since this is abridged they tend to cut the series down a lot. The Bulma thing was a bit of filler where she lost the dragon ball she was guarding. It rolled into the ocean and she used that mech to get it back from giant crabs. In case you didn't know, in this world there is Capsule technology where you can fit giant things into little capsules to use later. The house in the cave and the mech just two of them.

Why yes it was. It never comes up again. Even in the original unless I’m forgetting something.
That's not it with tetanus either, it's actually just that the tetanus bacteria lives in soil, so stuff like nails that rust in the ground have the bacteria on them. You could even get it from a cat scratch if the cat had dirt under its nails.

Tetanus is a particular type of bacteria that affects the nerves. It can only be contracted through an open wound. The bacteria can be found everywhere in the enviroment, particularly in soil, ash, feces, and skin. It's not the rust on an old nail that carries the bacteria, it's soil that is also on the nail.
Rusty things are more likely to have dirt stick to them because of the rougher surface. So of all things you could get cut with, rusty things have a higher chamce of carrying to bacteria.
Oh yeah, now it's really ramping up. And just think, in the original show, there was body swapping all over the place! Ginyu even swapped bodies with Bulma for a little bit...so glad they skipped that.
