11:41 In the original show it made more sense, Goku threw the frog on purpose.
Though in the original, Vegeta didn't end up squishing it.
Nooooooo, it makes sense out of abridged logic. 😂😂😂😂
20:23 At this point Freeza is actually panicking. He cares more about the dragon balls than wasting even one second killing this random dude.
I hadn't even thought of that. Still, it would have been in character for him to just obliterate the dude as he flew off. I'm glad he didn't. And mad props to that Namekian for stalling him that long
rule of plot, Nail still has a bit to contribute@@ChicagoReacts
the bit about it "feels like we have been on Namek for a year" is most likely a refence to when the show was first airing in the west as there was a sort a very long delay about half way through this saga and almost all the Voice actors of the cast were changed when it finally returned.
I thought it was because they've been abridging the freeza arc for bout a year by the time of that episode
@@orbboom6119 it might be or both XD
“By all means…*give me some ideas.*”
Props to the VA for that one, it’s absolutely one of my favorite DBZA lines. Instantly communicates just how *pissed* Freeza is right at that very moment 🤣
Lanipator, one of TFS’s founding members and the voice of Vegeta/Piccolo/Krillin, has called that one of his favorite lines in the entire DBZA series. LittleKuriboh really knocked it out of the park with that line read.
@@Arxane It really is amazing
It wasnt planned but Goku did throw the frog on purpose in the original show. Also it actually does make sense that he can throw something faster than vegeta can fly, at least across a short distance, Since when Vegeta threw the dragon ball he didn’t expect anyone to be able to go catch it but when Burter caught it Vegeta was surprised because no one should be that fast.
Flying requires some control, yeeting shit makes sense.
fair enough@@illogicalbear6200
My only issue with these reactions is that we don't get them more often
I will endeavor to do better
16:43 Vegeta still needs help because he has no chance to defear Frieza. They really have no choice, they have to work together.
Watching the wheels turn in your head when he threw the frog. We all did that our first time
They were between voice actors for Yamcha at this point, so he's gonna get cut off before he can say anything during the next few episodes
gotcha
11:54 Best part is Vegeta doesn't actually kill him cause gets conviced "Lol, this is gonna suck even more". He gets a small filler subplot with switching bodies with Bulma that gets reverted, then when they wish to "take everyone except Goku and Frieza off Namek" the dragon takes him as well. Actually ends up on Earth at Capsule Corp's garden or whatever and even makes it all the way to DB Super.
13:44 Well, in a way, yeah. As soon as a random frog appeared, it became the plan.
16:51 Frieza is actually still on the planet, better have these guys as cannon fodder.
Starting at this point the show hits its stride when it comes to writing, and take whatever time ya need getting these videos out. Glad to see you're enjoying the series!
Truly unhinged Vegeta is the best thing to ever happen to DBZ. I mean, Vegeta being genuinely insane and haunted by Nappa should be canon.
Congratulations! You reached peak DbzA. Don't expect any downhill road from here on.
Is it just me, or it was realy long time since last episode? Im just glad it's continuated
Seems they come out once a month. There's a joke there but I don't have the facilities to make it.
They're definitely slow rolling this series. Not sure what benefits they get from that.
It has been quite a while. And I am very sorry for that. I'm planning on doing better.
Yeah, the frog body switch is a very Dragonball thing. Like, original series Dragonball, and yeah, it was on purpose, though it was improvised. Also, Frog!Ginyu didn't get squished, since he has a little side adventure involving Bulma that they skip over later to keep the pacing up in the abridged series, hence the squishing. Ginyu as a frog even manages to survive this saga for a payoff way later on. Doesn't matter for the abridged series any, but a little fun bit of trivia.
Also, yeah, Martin's delivery of that last Freeza line in episode 24 is chilling. Leave it to the daddy of abridging to be a damn good voice actor, and it gets even better from here on out.
Do love some of the questions you have about how the characters actually are in the original. As for episod 23, yes they play Goku off as very silly and simple minded, to the point of being very dumb. But in the originals, and some times during the abridged series, you see that while he's a very simple man, he is a very good fighter, that catches onto what's going on quickly, and he did on purpose mess with those last two attempts to change bodies, as he's seeing what was about to happen.
you'd think that... if goku has time to throw a frog in the path of an already launched switch-attack... that vegeta would have time to dodge
but no, apparently a thrown frog travels at the speed of light, without getting vaporized, while a saiyan in good condition is too slow.
Obviously, Vegeta was going at high speed and could not cancel his inertia just like that.
"There ain't no argueing with amateurs."
- Mr. Satan, maybe, probably
In the original frog Ginyu survives and ends up living on earth as a frog for the rest of the series
cute
Until he swaps bodies with Freeza's new lieutenant during the whole Resurrection F thing, goes to town on Gohan for a bit, then gets blitzed by Vegeta. After that the Namekian from continues to live on Earth but it's Tagoma.
Please keep these going it's about to get good
Hey, just be glad they skipped the Ginyu + Bulma side story.
Also, yes, Frieza's line at the end of 24 is definitely one of the absolute best in the entire series. But at the same time, there are a few others that, in my opinion, are still better (even if only by a slim margin). But they're all in season 3, with one exception from episode 30. And they span the whole spectrum from the best comedy life can offer all the way to dead serious one-liners and monologues that literally made me shiver the first time I heard them.
Looking forward to your reactions to the next few episodes! Please don't leave us hanging too long again.
To quote Ben swolo, “More. MORE. *MOAR!”*
Yup, that's how he croaked 🐸
26:42 yeah, that line is so cold. Literal goosebumps first time I watched.
So thinking about something. If when goku throw the frog in front of Ginyu. If the frog would have would have died would he have been able to switch bodies with a dead frog?
19:16 there is an actual reason for Freeza guessing that the amount of arms in the pile was 24 and it was just a not entirely subtle nod at the fact that we are currently in episode 24 at this point
haven't watched the original series, what's the reason?
In the original series, he only pulls off one arm here. The TFS guys here had Freeza continually pull off his arms. Also, for a while around this episode they tried to get the episode number in the episode. For example, in episode 24, Freeza guesses he pulled Nail's arm off 24 times.
Vegeta doesnt have much of a choice, without the earthlings he can't summon the dragon nor defeat freeza.
I mean I'm a bit late but Everyone at Chicago reacts congrats on 100k strong yt subs
That's a VA from Paw Patrol as Ginyu, btw.
No actually it is all about power. 99% of all techniques are power boosters or are pure straight forward attacks, it even gets to the point that oftentimes characters won’t bother dodging even if they could because of no reason other than it’s cool weathering a devastating attack. I implore you to not believe that this series believes in technique over power because it really doesn’t and it’s an affront to other series that do take said concept seriously.
Since you'll probably never watch Dragon Ball Super I feel the need to give you a tiny spoiler just to inform you how canon this was in actual Dragon Ball Z. There is a plot point about Ginyu being transferred back from the frog into a new body in Dragon Ball Super. Ginyu really did end up in the frog in DBZ, Vegeta just didn't squish it lol
And it still keeps getting better 😊
Vegeta ignores his preferred name and calls him by his Saiyan name cus hes all that's left of his people.
I love team 4 star but I've always hated how they made Goku a terrible father
So In reality they don’t kill ginyu and he runs around in a body until he runs into bulma and takes her body Nyway long story short he ends up on earth until he comes into contact with friezas new force and gets killed by piccolo

Lovly outfit you have on😍
You are really making your politics known lol.
more shadow of war reactions
I know you were disappointed in how contrived the frog being the method which Ginyu was defeated. It’s really bad writing which is why TFS leaned into it and made it even more hilariously blatant. In the original DBZ, Goku purposely threw that frog to intercept the swap, but here, “ew frog gross, I throw.”
It's not contrived. There were plenty of animals around and even a badly injured Goku in Ginyu's body could've easily grabbed one to throw.
@@BarkusWolfinstein it’s feeling pretty contrived.
On behalf of all Dragonball fans, the frog thing was dumber in the original DBZ
The frog thing is typical Dragon Ball nonsense, and neither the first nor the last time our heroes are saved by a random animal passing by
