white cheese should be very salty , i think you didnt add even a pinch of salt
Agree I hate when they add salt to it
@@danielanunez6733 actually i was saying the opposite 🤣. We on balkans, europe , eat a lot of white cheese , and it doesnt make sence to eat it with out salt . I think the salt gives the cheese bigger shelf life
For all you guys debating that this is "paneer" , for your kind info paneer is called"cottage cheese" in English, so it comes in the cheese category.🤘
I made the two hours ago it was all good and easy to make
Tg
I tried this at home, it was very easy, and I liked how it came out! Consistency wise, that is. It actually tasted a bit less bland, which I've heard is characteristic of paneer, when I fried it up in some olive oil.
Doesn't the cheese become sour or tastes sour bcz of vinegar??
I tried it a while ago.. I thought it would be sour too especially since I accidentally poured too much venigar. but that wasn't the case. After I was done the cheese was bland and taste nothing and the texture is a bit chalky...
@@lucasgrey4617 Thanks for replying.
It tastes nothing ,maybe bcz I think it's made like a mozzarella cheese. This also doesn't hv taste. But it's slightly rubber like.👍👏🙋
The vinegar stays in the liquid, and add a bit of salt before squeezing the water from the curd n press
I think that this is a paneer.😀
Correct me if im wrong.
How does it taste?
Yeah it is paneer🤣
@@zulaikha6531 hello!☺
A fresh cooked paneer tastes like milk that has a crumbly texture but, it doesn't melt like any other cheeses. Btw, it is very savory when paired with spicy foods. Hope you find this informatiom useful. 😄
Ohh thank you 😊
@@sarahbaccay8762 yes. It's a type of cheese.
For all the people commenting. Paneer is known as 'COTTAGE CHEESE' in English.
Thank you for sharing a simple way to make cheese at home you are truly awesome and helpful ^^

I think Tim is referring to the teaspoon of Himalayan sea salt you fold in right after you squeeze the whey out.
Is this spreadable?
The longer u let it sit the harder it will get so if u want it to spread don't let it sit for too long
Or blend it in food processor and it’ll turn into a cream cheese which is really good
No.
Paneer is cheese, you all need to educate yourselves. Just that paneer isn't salted while usual cottage cheese is salted. This one is paneer. jeeeeez.
Syahmi Rosli correct
Thanks starting my cheese company now💯
ok
Thank you so much for this lovely recipe. Don't mind all the nasty people with their rude comments.
This people doesn’t understand paneer is cheese
Yes, quite in a literal way.
If you are going to hate on her why don't you just go away and make it yourself , why does everyone have to complain because so what if it's not cheese we all make mistakes , so everyone please stop hating on her.

After placing curds into cheese cloth, rinse it in an ice water bath, then squeeze. It cleans it & keeps particles from.sticking to the cloth!
is it me or these people who doesn't understand that paneer is a fresh cheese. it is just the diff names given in diff languages. even google tells u paneer is a fresh cheese.
well anyways the process of making diff types of cheese are all very similar. to separate the curd and whey.
but for mozzarella cheese it has to be stretched which explains the name mozzarella. only diff techniques and time used for diff cheese otherwise it is all the same.
paneer = cheese
Dee FullStops will it melt like other cheese?
Dee FullStops its called as cottage cheese.
Thank you Dee!! Paneer is a fresh CHEESE also called queso fresco in Latin America, paneer in India, and farmer's cheese/cottage cheese, in many anglophone countries.
What did you expect, how to make Roquefort in 3 minutes? This is known as fresh cheese, farmers cheese, cottage cheese, etc. It is cheese. It's a peasant cheese, and has been since the middle ages, but still a cheese nevertheless. Nice video 👌
Best user name ever
