Loving the time spent on the Ecto. Giving us a real good look and feel for this truck before spending our money. Full credit to your channel and I hope it takes off.
Nice I’m finding your info is very helpful I just got a Ecto & a bunch of upgrades including the knuckles you show. I already have a Element Sendero HD & a lot of the parts are the same. I also got the rear SSD axle weights as well & matching SSD diff. Covers front & rear so that should give it the weight it needs to be more planted. Thanks for the info it helps others out a lot when you watch how it’s done before even starting to know what to expect & any of those little tricks that no instructions would provide those are gold.
Startin to get it lined out ? Those are excellent weights, I also added the rear ones and diff covers(plus a bunch of other things to help it perform). The rear weights help keep the back end down when going over something downhill. Believe me it can get even better than that. My Gatekeeper is very highly upgraded now, but I didn't do any useless upgrades. The last parts are coming this week and it will be completely done, for me. Got those aluminum trailing arms from SOR. Let me know if you wanna know all I've done to it, it's quite the list. Good video.
Thanks! I am really happy with the truck as it sits. I like to keep the truck as light as possible, so will only use the weight sparingly. Sounds like your Gatekeeper is a monster! Bet it does great!
@@RoadsideRC yea, I was really going for the best trail buggy that I could possibly make it. There's alot more that I could have done, but I wanted a nice clean build using the best quality parts that I could possibly afford. About nine months and around 1500 bucks later, it actually turned out to be better than I ever thought it would. And it's still all Element at heart (axles, chassis, trans, ect.) If any upgrade didn't help performance or had a negative effect, I wouldn't leave it on. I actually used alot more aluminum than brass and it worked out very well so it's not overly heavy. I need to get some pictures together or do a video so I can get some feedback on it and compare it to what other people have done to their rigs. Nobody has even seen it besides my wife and well, you know.
That boulder ledge at the 4:40 mark was sweet. I am building a course in my back yard as well. So far, people like the actual landscape aspect of it instead of just grass and yard ornaments. And when kids come over. . . . they run right past everything else and that's where they stay, until after dark if you let them. Are the wheels weighted inside as well?
I do not suggest putting brass on anything that rotates, like wheels. I suggest you follow like I show in this video and put the brass on the axle itself.
@@RoadsideRC Do it. Out of the box build. most capable crawler I own. And I own a lot axial SCX III Gladiator, SCX III Bronco, SCX ll Custom build, and a Bomber. By far the Vanquish is the best for the money. The Hobbywing 540L fits perfectly.
I got the redcat gen 8v2. Then got a scx10iii Now what’s next the trx sport or this ecto???? Help me out man I feel like everyone has the trx sport and I want something a bit different but I don’t wanna regret going with the ecto
I'm new to this platform. When searching for parts I'm looking for the Enduro line. I have the ecto, and am having a hard time finding brass parts. Any help would be great. Cheers from Texas!

Great! Glad it is helpful.
Thanks for the kind words.
Congrats on 10k! That's a huge milestone! Hope to get there myself at some point!
You will for sure!
Last year was a big boost with so many folks stuck at home with nothing better to do.
Just keep at it, it will come with time!
@@RoadsideRC Thanks! Yup, I plan to continue keeping at it.

Are the wheels weighted inside as well?
Thanks for the feedback!
Good luck on your course.
Hey can I ask what wheels those are? Love the look of them
They are the VariHub from Team Ottsix: www.ottsix.com/product-page/1-9-voodoo-varihub-wheels-baby-face-design-2-wheels-hubs-not-included
good 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
hi, friend!!
What is the best option to put weight on my element trail walker?
I wanted to put brass on the wheels, what do you advise me?
thank you

@@RoadsideRC Thank you very much teacher, I will do it that way, I said it to add a little more weight
I can’t get the large inner bearing to seat into the knuckle; did you have issues with this?
I don't remember having any issues. Line it up nice and straight and give it a little tap - I bet it will go in.
Good luck!
@@RoadsideRC thanks for a quick response, I added a little grease and used needle nose pliers to get the bearing seated
bought a Vanquish VS 4.10 Phoenix. AMAZING truck. Do you do builds, or just RTR?
I have been eyeing the Phoenix, trying to figure out if I am going to pull the trigger on it or not!

No regrets with the ECTO! This truck continues to surprise me with how capable it is, with so few mods!
BCD Racing... 😉👍🇩🇰
I am not familiar with BCD Racing - who is that?
cool
Thanks!
What foams are you running?
At this point, it was the foams that came with the tires. I have since switched to these: ruclips.net/video/ajIwgZ6TroI/видео.htmlsi=83TvbibiGMHhr9-Y

How can I get your stickers?
I'm working on it! Trying to get something setup now. Give me a little bit of time to see if I can figure it out.
Cool RC and great upgrades brother, did you see my new video, got lots of new goodies
I did see that! It is CRAZY! Two Tamiya and the Rat Rod from Associated! That is awesome.
@@RoadsideRC thanks brother
