Fun fact: Dell XPS was the first ever device to bring edge to edge display (thin bezels) in 2014/15 before it was even a thing in smartphone industry. Galaxy Note Edge had 'edge' thing but top and bottom bezels were too large.
I recently bought Dell XPS 13+ UHD+, i5, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, and I returned it after 5 days. My total usage in those 5 days was not more than 1-1:30 hours. Reason being extremely pathetic (poor would still be better) battery life, my usage didn’t even include consuming media content yet. It included web browsing and some work on word and battery drained a lot like 1%-1.5% every minute. If you think UHD resolution is the reason then think again because I had kept it at 720p and around 30% or 30 points of brightness and as per “experts” resolution doesn’t matter to battery life apparently but still battery was in no mood to co-operate. I took it to the vendor and he tried updating it and doing all sorts of magic stuff but could only extract 2-2.5 of battery life. So if you’re planning to buy this laptop then please don’t. It’s not even for a person who uses it for everyday work and for mild entertainment forget about creators. Pro: Design is beautiful Con: The whole above mentioned review which outweighs the pros. Please Don’t go straight for the expert reviewers opinion because they receive complementary review models (which might be good) and have got nothing to lose whereas you do. Extremely disappointed with Dell.
It's due to custom and import duties imposed in India. Dell is an American brand see more than brands like Samsung of Asus. The prices are higher because of this, Indian consumers pay unnecessary amount to government without any reason.
Plus who'd be using this? I didn't see any signs of Nvidia graphics. plus the developers would be purchasing macbooks. I wonder who's the target audience.
FYI. I just got this laptop from the Dell outlet for $1100. It's non touch but it's an i7 and 32 gb of Ram. Personally, after using the XPS for many years, I can't get over how huge the bezels look on other laptops.
I bought Tribit Stormbox Blast during the sale and I feel it deserves a dedicated video on your channel. I was eyeing Aiwa Exos 9 from years which never released in India. Settled with Tribit and mind blown by the performance.
I mean this guy rupesh is really working hard as the festive season is coming up and he is covering everything laptops, mobile etc. Kudos to your team ☺️👍
Unpopular opinion : These thin good looking machines are great if you do only basic operations like browsing, email etc. But if you want to get some proper work done - whatever it is - gaming, excel crunching (not reading), editing - It's best to have a thicker laptop which a lot more functional. I have an LG gram which I use when I go out for meeting and stuff , but when I have to get some proper work done, i go back to the thicker, heavier ThinkPad X1 Extreme on my desk.
3.5mm jack removal on laptops is unacceptable for me at least - I still haven't gotten over it on phones (love my lg v60 with that quad dac) and just can't accept its removal on laptops. Also, the 'touch-bar' on the top reminds me more of the lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon gen 2 rather than the macbook touchbar (limited functionality). Other than that - yeah unbelievably stylish looking laptop - definitely the best looking i've ever seen.
Beebom should start a new channel showcasing the behind scenes of these videos from shooting to editing those cool animations!! Many youngsters will be motivated & learn amazing things 😍
I bought this laptop almost 2 months ago. However, my unit had various issues with QC and general problems, such as coil whine (super high pitched), extreme heat, dead pixel, etc. It is really beautiful, but don't let the looks deceive you! I just hope they've fixed some of these issues by now.
you should have gone for m1 pro 14" it costs 10-20k more plus extra ports, better battery, best sound, and the 120 hz display, 2.5k. idk why you went for this at this price point.
No feedback from the function keys is actually not a very pleasant experience. My Thinkpad X1 Carbon had this adaptive keyboard back in 2016-17 and it didn’t age well
This is stunning laptop in all sense, but the price in India is just too much , this even makes the MacBook air M2 feels cheap which is better in some areas like performance, battery life and apple ecosystem, web cam. Dell should have priced it more aggressively.

Undoubtedly great design. Premium segment. But few things most people did not notice or not known or ignored. Non upgradable design. Absolutely no upgrades. Repairs as expensive as the laptop itself. For example, if the RAM is faulty you need to replace the entire motherboard including the processor. Because they made everything integrated into one single motherboard to make it slim. If the web cam is faulty, you need to replace the entire screen including the bezel. People who are interested in this laptop mostly ignore these facts when they buy. Yes I know these because I used XPS 13.
@Team Beebom Between XPS 13 & HP Spectre, which is a good buy, my reqmt is ... i7 SSD basic movie making portability Decent Bty life Adequate ports @ HDMI port must ... 13 to 14 inches screen size Sturdy... Need for a longer run.. pl share your recommendations... Thank you Regards
Beautiful is only a tiny fraction of what matters with a laptop. I chose the 9315 instead of this one, but it also has port issues which is a pain in the ass. I hate the idea of haptic fake buttons on my keyboard.
Another thing that might become a problem (for both this and the 9315) is the position of air inputs for cooling. If it's in your lap, your legs block the air intake which could lead to overheating. Haven't had obvious problems in this with my 9315...yet. Going to the Tropics soon which will give it a real test.
The Video quality of this channel is amazing, the audio may not be the best but I'm willing to overlook that. I'd appreciate if you also used dollars for your pricing since it's easier to convert our currency to dollars

@Sarim Ashrafi Bro, Nokia has already done the edge to edge display before anyone with their Lumia phones. Check their designs. All 930 model to all
Dell Laptop has a huge bezel at the lower side too🤣🤣🤣
Man that keyboard outline animation was slick 🔥🔥
not having ports is the only drawback
Its cringy to ditch ports for a design element
It heats up a lot as well 🥲 thats the only reason preventing me to buy this gorgeous machine
Atleast 4 type c ports must given
Touchpad also a big problem
And price?

I have been in love with this since it was released in US but the Indian price is just too much for mid class customers

Mouse track pad should be distinguished for right click accuracy. At least some lines and all
A laptop should always have all the necessary ports and a headphone jack. This whole thing ditching ports for making it slimmer is stupid.
Agreed. Especially when you consider how terrible bluetooth audio is on Windows.
XPS holds a special place in my heart 😍 the design is remarkable and the specs are top notch!
This minimal design is beautiful 🔥🔥🔥
Intro was awesome including attention to detail like clicking sound of respective laptop💯
That intro though 🔥 🔥 🔥
Really, it's my favourite laptop. Just beautiful.
With a budget of 1.70L, my heart says go for this beauty but my mind points to Lenovo legion slim 7i 🙂
Always listen to the brain, it thinks long term.
Listen to mum, intel atom with chromebook is enough
I'll go for M2 MacBook Air for this kind of price.
You'll get pro now
Love the stunning intro 🤩🤩
Heard about its quality control issues. Any thoughts?
Would you mind recommending a laptop that can handle both medium-level gaming and professional productivity tasks
Please compare it with Asus Zenbook 13 Oled
For the price, it definitely deserved an OLED display.
With aleast 90Hz.
@@sanjivanmukherjee Wait, I think MKBHD just released a video on this same laptop and he says it has an OLED display.
I have one, and it’s OLED
It does have an OLED display though. The normal XPS 13 doesn't.
LEDs flashing on the top row are due to camera shutter speed, right?
yes
Those LED shortcuts.. if they keep blinking like that. I can't imagine working on it.
A tip : you transition from B roll/shot to video too fast , while the music is too high , let the music settle down first and then start

Has Dell addressed the issue raised by Just Josh about quality control?

Why do these things launch so late in india?
