I only just learned today that Buddy Baker composed this logo's music. Had no idea that he did. I know him as the composer for "Summer Magic" (1963), the Merlin Jones films ("The Misadventures of Merlin Jones" (1964) & "The Monkey's Uncle" (1965)), and the original Winnie the Pooh featurettes.
@@rhythmnation2004 Sounds different to me, and not just because it's in mono. Here, the brass instruments were being played a little differently than the take actually used in theaters and home video.
Now I can hear the instruments!

Nice scored by Buddy Baker 👏❤
This must be the music that was played during the Mickey Mouse 50th birthday logo in 1978
Sounds like the 20th Century Fox fanfare!
it's an alternate take; the ending of the fanfare is different from that in the neon mickey logo
The beginning is different, too.
I see the illusion on Neon Mickey! 😱
This Logo Started in 1978 for Discovision Laserdisc
The only Neon Mickey logo I've seen on DVD was on The Cat From Outer Space, touting "50 Years of Mickey". Can anyone find a clearer version than that?
Very clear and very Disney-Esque!
Don't know why they never did a stereo version on a VHS tape, but that is rare to see this fanfare in stereo.
This must be an alternate take since it doesn't have the string section and it only has three timpani beats at the end.
I don’t think it’s a different take. I think it just sounds different because we’re hearing it in stereo sound, versus a mono video cassette.
I wonder if this stereo version was the one originally used on The Cat from Outer Space before the Buena vista logo?
@@rhythmnation2004 Nah, this is a different take. Some of the orchestration sounds distinctly different from the take used for the logo.

@@AndrewsMagicandMore My thoughts exactly, Andrew ;)
I would imagine a spoof of this logo that would have a neon silhouette of Brilliant Bull of the Barnyard Hero Brigade.
It's nice music.
Oh it’s beautiful
It's normal for that year
