This is one for those jazz fusion lovers out there such as myself. John Scofield is an incredible guitar player and was often found with a just as incredible bass player in his band, at one point being Jaco Pastorius. On this track, however, it was Darryl Jones filling in the low-end with this incredible repeated bassline with some fills. Takes some serious restraint but the results are incredible.
