(embarrassing but I sure did follow you because I did that too) and Leigh since your 365 days of drawing/posting to instagram) so seeing you guys become friends and do things together is such an insane collab for me 😂❤ its been a while since I've listened to the podcast but you're both so lovely to listen to!! will be listening to all of the recent pods asap

In Polish cat circles it is customary to not let the cats see each other for sometime after adoption and then start swapping items that carry their smell. It's because cats are super teritorial so it's not like they have an issue with the other cat but with the fact that someone is invading their space. Then you play with them between half open doors and give them snacks. The whole process can take up to a few months. My friend recently followed this method while introducing her new cat and it worked pretty fine! It just took them like two months. Edit: just listened to the rest of the pod and wanted to add, that if they already met you can always restart the process with the separation and swapping but I get that it is easier to see what happens naturally at this point
