I think the reason is because you guys aren’t afraid to show that you enjoy each other’s company? But when you think about it that way it’s kinda sad if that is the reason because you should be allowed to do that in friendships. Just wanna say I'm always tickled by how excited y'all are about the Cincinnati zoo. I used to be a zookeeper (in another state) and getting to see folks be so jazzed about their zoo experiences is exciting because it means good zoos & zoo education are doing what they're meant to! 🙌 (also getting to gaze at Toadie's smooshy face for the last leg of the podcast was such a joy haha)
Great pod as usual. To add to the topic it’s rather annoying when people ask if you’re dating any one in general. At my previous job a lot of coworkers would ask if I had a bf yet. I never liked to answer but I’m polite and don’t like to lie. Still it’s no one’s business really, like I personally don’t know why people care if someone is single or not…
People just like making assumptions and I don't think that will change any time soon. If others don't "get" your relationship it's their problem. Someone who is interested in either one of you will accept your friendship with each other and make an effort to understand and get to know you. Outside of that I think it is great that you can show how close you are and teach others that friends can be affectionate with each other whatever the gender constellation.
