Erick, definitely love the detailed sanding description. It would be great if you do some more of these detailed instructions in your vids. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel!
Definitely not just a couple of barely rounded slabs lol. She’s got lines like a sports car. I am happy so many people enjoyed the full length shaping as much as I did. It was super helpful to see the entire process thank you.
The best looking knife I've seen online. Hands down. The best! I had an idea for that chunk of expensive wood you cut from your block of stabilized wood. Make a small handle for a ferro rod! Knife and rod would match! Beautiful work! Thanks for posting.
I Love how this one came together.🤘 I enjoy the long process parts on certain details to really hammer home a scope of time , belt speeds and things like that. Thanks Erick!
Nice video my brother! I really like the longer, detailed, more indepth content! I'm a kenistedic learner, so watching something get done first, really helps me! Thanks for sharing! 💯😎👍🏻🔨🔥🔪
I came in with the Forged in Fire state of mind with tangs initially; I have since calmed down and my tangs are much smaller and much less stressful to carve around.
Thank you for sharing i really enjoy your content. I really like the way the knife turned out and love the transition between the dark blade and handle. Yes im sure im not the only one who enjoyed watching the handle shaping process and would like to see more of those videos. Maybe you could do a integral hidden tang chopper next.
Your handle shaping process is much appreciated. Always like to see another maker's process and see if I can pick up any tips and differences that I can apply to my technique. You cannot get that from a 15 second clip...you need to see the entire process. Great looking blade and I agree that Oleg has superior product. I pretty much use it exclusively.
Thanks for keeping in the handle shaping, I struggle with handles on my 2x72 and tend to revert to files and sandpaper for the extra control, at the expense of time and effort. It was worth seeing and didn't take too long to go through. Knife turned out fantastic. I noticed you skipped the pin, but did take some chunks out of the tang if I saw correctly. Love the lines and color transitions. The bevel lines and the handle lines match up well and keep the overall theme solid. Another work of art!
Great knife. Love the rounded integral bolster. Hidden tangs are something I haven’t tried yet even after hobby knife building for 20 years but forging and hidden tangs are definitely my to learn list. I think stock removal needs to take the back seat for me for awhile so I can try new things.👍
Dude!!! Awesome tip on sanding in that hook at the bottom of the handle I have yet to make a handles like that and I am eager to try now that I have the right tips! I also just posted my first knife video on RUclips! Thanks as always for the inspiration! Wicked clean knife!!!!
That little.knife is bamg on, really like it, amd yes the full length video is great, although it isnt how I do things woth no belt grinder to speak of being ig is more kr less all by hand it is surr to help many people well explained and clear
Great video going to try my first hidden tang knife I have made a few coke bottle type handles and great to see it done properly tha ks again for the videos
Beautiful knife. I love how your design was so intentional. Your advice about sticking to your design is exactly what I needed to hear. Lately when a particular part of my knife doesn’t work out, I end up changing it but then it messes another part up and then I have a scrap knife. Thanks dude!
Excellent work Sir. When clamping clamp the blade then using the vice body you can clamp the handle down into it. If you don’t get it I’ll draw u a diagram and email it to you
i agree with TyrelKnifeworks about the grey handle to the front of the knife ( thin piece of brass/copper between the bluster and handle just me ) Why no pin ? your drawing showed it Mr. Rivers if it where not for you i would not be making blades today Thank You!!
Wow! That's a huge compliment! I'm happy that these videos have been helpful! The pin was a "just in case I wanted to do it" part of the sketch. It's not really needed on a knife like this.
Potentially one of your nicest knives so far, if it was me and just IMO I would have put a bright coloured spacer between the handle and the bolster. With big 1" stock, I kind of worry about your elbow blowing out! Its seriously hard work so wrangle in a hammer monkey with a sledge and save yourself some pain :)
I’m the person that your handle shaping helped. Thank you for breaking it down for a struggling hobbyist
These longer videos are perfect for beginners trying to do things correctly. Many of people’s shorter videos leave out a lot of info.
Thank you
Great choice putting the grey handle portion to the front. Really nice knife!
Thanks Dennis! I thought it would flow better that way and it worked out really well.
Erick, definitely love the detailed sanding description. It would be great if you do some more of these detailed instructions in your vids. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel!
Good job! I really like knives in this style!!! 👍👍👍 I've watched all your videos but this one is something magical!!!
LOVE all the extra detailed footage and step-by-step!
That thing would look so nice with the stacked leather handle. I’ve been binge watching your channel recently.
This knife is perfect! It’s like a sports car with the flowing lines and flamesque look to it. Yup, I love it!
Thank you!
Excellent build. Love the handle process. Thank you.
I appreciate you showing the whole processes
Thanks for watching it!
the handle profiling is USEFUL!
I'm happy that people have enjoyed it.
I would not change anything ! The color/texture of the blade is especially great !!
Definitely not just a couple of barely rounded slabs lol. She’s got lines like a sports car. I am happy so many people enjoyed the full length shaping as much as I did. It was super helpful to see the entire process thank you.
Love you're teaching approach & willingness to share..!!
Thanks
Most grateful ..!!
WHole process best process. Definitely show more!
Thanks for the handle profile. Next hidden tang I'll give it a try!!
Awesome!
Love the way it came out.

Thank you Klaus!

Great build! Handle profiling is one of my favorite parts of the process. Shaping wood is very rewarding for me. Good job!
Thank you Jason! The handle process is one of my favorite parts as well.
Still love this video Rivers!
That is a beauty! The handle material is one of my favourites you’ve used.
Thank you Cory!
I really liked the way you showed the entire process of how you did the handle. It helped with things I am struggling with.
I'm glad it was helpful!
I Love how this one came together.🤘 I enjoy the long process parts on certain details to really hammer home a scope of time , belt speeds and things like that. Thanks Erick!
Thank you Matt!
Great looking knife, very informative video.
Thanks for sharing the entire process.! It's really good to see it all.! For the hurry one, they can skip
That's how I felt as well.

Another outstanding video very informative and helpful you should be proud of your work later brother...👍💥🤙👋
Great video, man. Dig the Black Plague shirt. If I ever run into you there I'll buy you a beer. Keep up the incredible work.
Much appreciated just starting to get into shaping handles.
Love that you shared the whole handle shaping process. It's definitely something I struggle with, and this will help me in the future.
I came in with the Forged in Fire state of mind with tangs initially; I have since calmed down and my tangs are much smaller and much less stressful to carve around.
Awesome video! Enjoyed the full handle grind!
Thank you!
I usually grind my handles with an angle grinder with a flap disc on. I gotta try this method
that is awesome i was wondering how to do that , thank you for taking the time and putting in you video.
Hey 👋 man how you doing bro perfect for me to go hunting nice!..job buddy blessings 🙌 🙏 ✨️
Good job on your first integral
Thanks Rick!

Thanks! I'm happy that people like the entire process being in there.
Good looking knife.I like your process of making the handle I learned a lot.Stay cool in the Texas heat.
I'm happy that it was helpful! I know long videos bother some people but I wanted to have it all in there.
This came out so good. Do more ntegrals
That's the plan!
Well done buddy 👍thanks
Thank you Don!

Thanks! Forging is a blast! Although it's more fun when its colder out side lol.

Great lesson and knife
Thank you Chip!
I think that is a beautiful knife, I would like to see a bigger knife, 6 to 7 inches long. You make awesome knives. Keep it up. 😊
like the whole process
Thank you!
certainly helpful, thank you!
Thank you too!
She's a beauty! Haven't tried an integral bolster yet, but now i gotta give it a try on some 1085 round stock i picked up.
Thank you! Heck yeah you do!
Nice work! 👌🏻
Thank you!
I think you should make an integral cleaver next 😁. Nice video dude! 🤙
Yup, I need t o try that.
Excellent work Sir. When clamping clamp the blade then using the vice body you can clamp the handle down into it. If you don’t get it I’ll draw u a diagram and email it to you
Sharp knife ERICK !
Thank you Steven!
Where can I get one those knives beautiful work

Looks great. Are you going to put a pin in the handle or no?
Not on this one. This won't see any chopping the one I just made on Tuesday will have a pin.
Potentially one of your nicest knives so far, if it was me and just IMO I would have put a bright coloured spacer between the handle and the bolster.

if you where to sell this knife, how much would it cost?
You can email me if you want, You Tube is weird about us selling knives on their platform. theriversexperience@yahoo.com
i like your handle profiling and i think you should make a bigger knife
Thank you! I think I'm going too.
Best example of making a coke bottle handle I've seen on youtube.
Thank you!
For the record, it’s me, I’m the guy who is getting whooped by hidden tangs. 😂
I feel you lol.
Insulate and add an A/ C unit to your shop before you have a heat stroke, Dude ASAP
I have it in the works, would like it sooner than later though lol.
it's not perfect, but it has its own personality.
Thank you!
