- This is a little behind the scenes of the first day of my Faroe Islands workshops with Mads Peter Iversen. Make sure you check out his youtube channel and videos about the Faroes.
While this wasn't the most amazing day conditions wise.. the adventure was one we will never forget.

It’s a haul for me... Texas
You and Mads - a killer combination indeed. I am sure the participants are getting a lot of bang for their buck.
Beautiful images Nick. You are with one of the modern day masters for sure. Mads is an image genius.
Very cool Nick! Phenomenal locations and you got to hang with Mads. Epic!
Fantastic video. The Faroe's are stunning. One day hopefully.
Amazing scenery & some excellent shots - look forward to follow up vids. Looks like quite a large group...
excellent again Nick,..... a wee side note, love the epic tunes
Awesome, beautiful photographic work, and beautiful location! 😊
Neat. What a trip. Very cool Nick (and Mads!)
That’s pretty cool to see you both together. I’m sure you had a blast. 👍
faroe islands seems to be the new iceland
Great vlog Nick. Thnx
Thanks for sharing your Faroe Island adventure.
What a trip you’ve had Nick been following your adventures to Scotland also you’ve captured some great images especially of the Faroes.
Glad to hear access has been limited. Thank you for sharing. Love the score in the video as well.
I was there just three weeks ago; man, I miss it. Just lovely, and the people were so nice.
lisakayakstoo same I was there 3 weeks ago!
lisakayakstoo takk var tað stuttligt at vera her
A great video thanks.
The island looks really wonderful and peacefull
What a great day and video Nick. Had an awesome time with you guys.
Wow, just WOW! Great video Nick! I'd never heard of the Faroe Islands until a photographer friend went last year. Now I'm seeing more pictures all the time - such an amazing place - so dramatic. Can't wait to see part 2:)
What a beautiful video of an amazing place! I love seeing everyone so excited and happy to be starting on such an extraordinary workshop experience. Can’t wait for the next installment to watch. Good that you have Mass there who knows the place so well . Can’t imagine trying to go it alone because it really seems very remote there. The Drangamir arch seems to be the symbolic logo of the Faroes.
Faroe Islands are amazingly beautiful. I can't wait to visit. 👌❤️
Image at 11:28... just WOW! Great work, Nick!
Wow the photo at 11:30 is so beautiful, majestic and Unique. So glad that you, Mads and your group got to go and see Drangamir from a different perspective that few get to enjoy. Look very forward to see the rest of the series. Be safe, thanks for sharing
Looking forward to the next video.
great video, I would love to go there
No better sky than a MORDOR SKY! So great to see you guys working together! 👏🏻🤘🏼
@@dsaint94 are you always such a pessimistic person?
These videos are making me even more excited to join you and Mads in December 2020! I (and the other attendees) only have to wait a year and a half!!
Faroe é realmente incrível.
Com toda certeza um dos lugares mais bonito do globo!!!
What a fabulous place and what better company than Mads...looking forward to more from here....
What an amazing Landscape :-)
Hi Nick great video, I was out there with Mads and Nigel in March awesome location! you are one lucky old sod, getting to take the boat to the Island, but best of all you didn't have that bloody long trip back along the cliff edge, worth the cost of the boat it's self! and Thomas is a great guide.
Richard.
A great video of you and Mads in the Faroe’s. I like that you are reaching out to other vloggers and traveling with them in Canada and now, the Faroes. I also follow Adam, Gavin, Thomas and Mads. I have added the Faroes to my bucket list of photography workshops! I will check out your website to see if you are offering the same next year! Absolutely beautiful photography, Nick. Thank you.
If there is only one location I could visit in the short life I have left it would be this one. Words cannot describe the beauty.
I'm excited to see this series! You and Mads both have a moody dramatic style of photography that I love. I'm a bit jealous of the participants 😁
awesome .. good job man.
Ok, again... Nick Page + Faroes = Epic Photography. As good as it gets!
Man watching this brought back Iceland feelings. Really miss that experience with you and the group. I'll be back
Wow, what an epic place to shoot. I love your shots and style, especially your last image from the island. Very inspirational!
Great video, looks like you was lucky with the weather :-) You never know how it is and it can change so quickly
"Absolutely Stunnin" as Thomas Heaton would say. But really, this is insanely beautiful. I always get so jealous with your trips to amazing places and I definitely live through your videos a little bit! So glad these places exist that are so seemingly unspoiled by over-tourism and human presence.
Love the first hat Nick.
Thank you Nick, really great video. My vertigo kicked in though!
Epic stuff. That last photo you took was simply perfect! The balance of the sea on both sides, too! And how lucky for you to get a boat ride to grab some photos that a lot of photographers won't be able to get. thanks for this.
Awesome tracks you add to video. Especially the slide guitar. Can never find them with Sound Hound. Amazing location, you gave it just the right vibe.
Cheers
Hi Nick. Great video again. You always show these nice final Images. It would be great to see a post processing video again. Keep it up :)
Epic Nick, I am so happy that I was part of this group 🙏😍🙏
On the "Honey Do List",,,what a shame to have to go and shoot that beautiful area! But thats one chore I dont mind doing. Thank you Nick for sharing this.
Great first video Nick! Was cool to meet you during this trip to Drangarnir. Hope you had some more successful days last week and not so much rain this week.
Great work Nick. I'm not sure if you mentioned it, but being on that island is really, really a rare opportunity. 😁
Fantastic location hope to get there one day :)
Nicely done...thank you. It would appear the Faroe Islanders have been paying attention to what is happening to Iceland. Hopefully the hiking distances and fees will keep the Instagram (and other) hordes away.
Amazing video as always. I have only seen drangarnir passing by with boat to Mykines. Can't wait to go to the Faroe Islands this summer and maybe take a hike here. Greetings from Copenhagen
You also get a view of Dranganir when driving to Gasadalur. Another amazing spot as you might already know :)
Top!!
Dude you are an impressive creator. This was awesome. Keep slaying bro!!!
Totally making a GIF out of that last scene 😉😆
Wow nice
Really great Nick! 😊
A good idea, to do a cooperation with Mads. 👍
Always enjoy your images Nick. A photographer who understands Curves, Black point and depth! Well doen mate. @Mads Peter Iversen is a great resource for the Faroes huh!?
Regards
Ewan (NZ)
Like I needed anymore encouragement to visit the Faroe Islands lol.
I seem to be first, and awesome location and video nick!
Ah, you joined up with one of my favorite RUclipsrs I learned a lot from him.
One day I will make it to this place!! Maybe on a workshop you will have there :)
Im in the Faroe Islands right now and im gonna be here for a long time bc i live here
Nick, absolutely awesome images and video! As another comment suggests, I should have gone!!! If you get a chance, please say hi to Rick Numamoto for me. Met him at Moab last year. We did Delicate Arch the night of the cowboy dinner... Great guy! Thanks for posting!
Kicking myself for not joining this workshop. I was sooooo close to pulling the trigger and going :-(
Looks like an amazing experience!
how much did it cost??
😲 WOW!
Another adventure and story to sit and enjoy! I can see great videos coming, keep it up Nick!
Glad to hear the locals are finally capitalizing on the swam of photographers invading their little archipelago.
It will become another crowded Iceland, littered with plastic in a few years.
@@robinhorton6625 they have been and still are trying very hard to do everything they can to prevent that and it's working surprisingly well
Nick Page, do you ever wake up in the morning and have to pinch yourself to make sure it's not a dream? Think about your job; what you do and where you get to travel to. Are you living the dream? Or what?
That place is incredible.
I look forward to the next video and more of your images. OH, and a 100k subscriber base! That can your X-mas gift.
FotoGeek go away, TROLL. 👋🏻
@@dsaint94 Hey Troll @fotogeek Nicks on a workshop and probably quite busy to respond to comments, yet. So what's your point? Or are you just flapp'n at the finger tips?
@@dsaint94 You be looking for some attention? I like your YT channel, 1 sub, and a 100+/- views, and 2 postings in the past year...You're a contributor, NOT.
Hope you enjoyed your stay here!
It was amazing! Such a beautiful country
@@NickPage Glad to hear! Great video by the way.
Drangarnir...no relation to Faramir or Boromir? Goes with that Mordor sky you referenced. Def a bucket list photo location!
That looks really good fun, both the locations and the company - I bet you have a ball with that arch-scallywag Mads! BTW, his surname is pronounced Ee-verson, not Eye-verson afaik.
OMG. STUNNING
Wish I had my 4x5 and black and white film there
Great shots and content.
Keep up the good work.
Sad to see yet another location with an entry-fee but on the other hand it gives locals the chance to make some money from the hype (though the landscape is breathtaking). It#s a sign of the times. Still thanks for sharing
I live in Faroe Islands you should go to klaksvík and go ontop of a mountain the view is beautiful
We stayed in Klaksvík and went up twice! Check out video two from the set!
Awesome! I hope to go to the Faroes this time next year :D Will this be an annual trip for you Nick? ;D
"Love a good Mordor Sky"
How is the weather now in June ?
Great video - Faroe's seems less attractive to tourists than Iceland, which for a photographer is a positive!
Ginger Photographer for any avid explorer it is a positive too
Went there 2 weeks ago! Wish we went to that island in the back of Dranganir. Are you going to Mykines?
One special thing you get is, you can take a photo every day, and none of them will be the same, the scene is in constant change.
So where do the Faroe's rank on your list of places traveled?
Is one of your workshops for me if I only have a Canon Rebel XT and a 28-105mm lens?
It’s very nice and lovely place.
When did you film it?
How much is the basic fee for the usual site? Can it be spontaneous or does one need a reservation?
The Faroe seem to be the next "big thing" for photographers, like Iceland became. Why do photographers always keep the places with the worst weather ? Scotland, Iceland, Faroe, Alaska... Come on guys try and get some sun on your skin =)
But clear blue skies with bright sun isn't as awe inspiring and dramatic as a "Mordor Sky"
@@themisterchristie It is if it captures the spirit of the place. In Australia there isn't this like vendetta against clear blue skies. Clear blue skies are what you get, this is the place. Check Peter Lik's books on Australia, they're filled with clear blue skies. It makes the water turquoise and beautiful, especially in Queensland. Just worry about capturing the spirit of the place. Would you wanna see Provence as rainy and dark ? It won't make you wanna go there. The spirit there is heat, gorgeous light, and maybe here and there a summer storm. I know a lot of photographers limit themselves to moody pictures, but it doesn't have to be. Maybe I'm crazy but as a photographer I'm just looking for that picture that'll make me feel like I'm back there when looking at it, or as a traveler looking at photos, make me feel like it did capture the spirit of the place once I visit it.
@@nicolasbertin8552 well i would rather want a dramatic looking picture, i also prefer the darker pictures as i prefer night time and watching stars compared to being up in the day where its bright, seeing the dark clouds just adds that much more than a sunny picture imo
What are the circles in that lake at the beginning? I've seen them in 3 or 4 photography videos.
They are salmon farms
I'd love to go there, but just couldn't go anywhere near those edges, or see people getting close to them, I'd just curl up in a ball and cry...major vertigo triggering in this video!
I would love to hook up with Mads. I am planning to get a few of my mates together and make the trip there next year. Did you say you have to get permission to go to that place. How come. How does that work
