Marveling at Todd still bringing it at 74 years old, had no clue that Daryl Hall is older than him, dude will be 76 this year and hasn't lot a step... 😮
Luv Luv Luv best to Todd&Daryl,I thank you for 47yrs of the best music, concerts ever. Todd Todd&more Todd,Daryl Daryl&more Daryl. Back in the day was concert going non stop👍God bless✌️out.
Oh my goodness, this whole set is fabulous Two of the greatest musicians of their era, and even now just beyond words. . Todd + Daryl, gifts to us all ❤
😘 my gosh Mr rungrand I had the honor of attending your concert in Central Park some 40 years ago or more it was your birthday that night and I remember you sitting off fireworks and just sitting on the end of the stage it was good to see you enjoy your birthday hope it was. I've been a big fan of yours for many many years and all I can say sorry is that I'm glad whether you think you deserve it or not I do that you are recognized in a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thank you for the years I've enjoyment you have brought to my life even way back when I was a teenager. Take care of yourself oh tell Daryl Paul I have always been all struck by his voice he's got a good one you're not too shabby yourself this is such a joy to see.
Get down down…. Expressway! Whoa! I was about 6 when I heard that song. I have a cd out that was produced by the great Bobby Eli worked for TSOP, Gamble & Huff, Philly Sound. Song🕊🎶
I've seen Todd over a dozen times. Been a fan since Nazz Nazz. First time I ever saw him was on The Mike Douglas Show, of all places! Soupy Sales was cohosting & his kids Hunt & Tony Sales were in Nazz. Their hit song was Open My Eyes, which Todd recorded also on his first solo album Also have the Hall & Oats album he produced & played on...War Babies (Son of Zorro).
I am replying to your comment because it is close to my love of Todd. Beginning with "We Gotta Get You a Woman" on the juke box at the Pizza Hut where I worked in college. Once one loves Todd there is no turning back. A dream goes on forever. Sweet dreams Friend. ❤️
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Made me 😢 cry! BEAUTIFUL!! Most exquisite 👌🏼 PERFORMANCE IVE HEARD @ SEEN IN FOREVER! 🎶 🎵 PLAY IT LOUD! 🎶 🎵 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ peace love @ human kindness! 💓 Kim-n-Carolina
Thank you for uploading this. Two of the best, singing together one of the best. Wait For Me is perfect...musically, melodically, lyrically. But the surprise, Expressway to Your Heart, stamps this one notch above.
@@deschutesmaple4520 I love Todd Rundgren. You have to understand he's gone through decades of singing and recording. Let alone ageing and the voice naturally deteriorating with it. It is very impressive he's still able to do this. He's human too.
I will be waiting for you guys to restart LFDH! I went to Pawling after my Carnegie Hall performance a few years ago and had lunch but missed Daryl to sign my Hall and Oates piano book!
I'm a french Mamie Old 74 years, I live in France (Provence Marseille ) and I listen yours songs since long time, I LIKE the américain music and all music, except bedroom music, it's for sleep ! !Please come to LA CIOTAT, the town where I live, good surprise for me, I LOVE AMERICA ! Excuse me for my bad english
I Really like Daryls house. Listen to the music Daryl and others do there a bunch. My favs are Caramel & Method of Modern Love! Just Da Best! Part of my PT regimen.
@@hklinker Yea, I was there last night. This version, this video, is a poor rendition of Wait for Me. It's just not a good song for Todd's vocals. Last night, Daryl was amazing and that band is just so incredibly fabulous. Todd was the weakest link on that stage.
Longtime appreciator of Daryl and Todd (and Daryl's House band), and have seen this tour twice. Yes! QUESTION: What is Daryl signaling to sound crew when he repeatedly taps with palm to cover his mouth? Turn up his mike, turn it down? Add or remove a special effect? What? Please advise. Thanks.
I saw this show at the Chicago Auditorium. Bass was booming to a point where I could not discern the pitch of the bass guitar. The sound guy had an absurd amount of reverb on the bass drum. You can hear some of it on this recording (still be friends) which took place eight weeks later. I could not stay for the whole show. The dense heavy reverberation on the low end ruined the sound. Worst live sound I've ever heard in an auditorium designed for optimal acoustics.
This is one of my favourite songs but this is the worst version of it that I've heard. Slow, rough. And not the same passion. I've got over 20 versions on my ipod and CDs shows to go and there are son many others on the web. The LFDH is far better with these two.
A lot has to do with their vocal range & strength of voice to start with. On our end? A matter of personal taste, maybe. Mr. Rundgren can belt it just fine ("Expressway.."), and if he's a little pitchy? Well, he's in his 70s now. I just love that they're both still working, sharing, and enjoying themselves. ❤
What??? It's the other way around Todd sounds great and Daryl sounds terrible. And I'm a big Daryl and John fan.Daryl is done, raspy ,weak, creaky voice and no power.
Todd is singing differently, emphasising different things. Still very musical, but he doesn’t have that high, clean, effortless tone of his earlier years. Consumate musician though and there’s lots of value in what he’s doing.
OK, I saw them last night. Todd must have been tired in this video above, and, I know he loves the song Wait for Me but it's just not a good song for him and his vocal range. I found he was not a strong performer last night, but he was still entertaining and working hard for his money. He kinda was out of synch with the band a few times, as he was changing-up the speed/pace of some of the lyrics. Now, Daryl Hall? Whoa, talk about a top-notch pro who still has it! And that Daryl's House band? I once thought, watching the Daryl's House show on TV, that they must do some really good TV editing. I mean, how could that drummer (Brian) be just THAT good? Well, I got to see it last night. That band IS just that good, esp the drummer!.
Changing up the speed/pace of the lyrics…I think I know what you mean. And actually I think he really is trying to do it differently, in that case with different vocal phrasing. Sad to hear it wasn’t working well live.
Marveling at Todd still bringing it at 74 years old, had no clue that Daryl Hall is older than him, dude will be 76 this year and hasn't lot a step... 😮
I have seen Todd twice but have never seen Daryl. My favorite episodes of Daryl’s House are the ones with Todd. So awesome when they’re together.
Yeah. The reason we don't see Darryl is that he has Lyme disease which is devastating. If you only knew what strength he has to do this. 🙏🏼🌹💔
My favorites too with Todd & Daryl . I saw Todd 9 times & met him too but never saw Daryl Hall
Daryl's voice is still so beautiful and so full of emotion, such a great singer and musician! 🎶
Love these 2 legends for more than 40 years, and Todd brings me always tears in my eyes, always.
Todd Rundgren always in my favorites
Been following these guys for over 50 years. I was a child and am a vocalist! Baddass! Song🕊🎶

Amazing. Thank you for posting this, *Robert G* !
I recognized Todd as a musical genius during my teen years in the 70s

Brilliant. They are still going strong. Just John who is missing
Classic Todd!! And Daryl has such a great band!!!!
And Brian grew his hair out!!
This is beautiful Fellas'!!@ Thank you for the past the present and the future!@
Great post! Time goes fast! A preteen when Todd's song, I Saw the Light--came out. Hall & Oates great hits since mid '70s.
TODD killed it. I hope he does attend his induction into R&R HOF. So happy he got in, FINALLY.
I really like Todd Rundgren, but he just doesn't sound as good as he used to.

One of my favorites on Live from Darryl’s House?❤️❤️
Always a Cool performance 🎉They make it great😎❤🎶🔥
And tey are coming to Manila, Philippines for a concert!!!!!
Awesome !
❤️
Todd is from Upper Darby PA, and Daryl is from Pottstown, PA.. roughly 37 miles from each other.... talent not far from Philly....
Todd's voice is fading fast. I still love him and Daryl. I saw Hall & Oates at this venue last year and they had the same issues with the FOH sound.
It was a good concert. I was in the 6th row
❤️
“Don’t waste time feeling hurt, we been through hell together…” oooh those la la las
These guys are going to be near me Sunday but the show at Timberwolf is not in my cards. (sigh)
Whoa...that was painful
Very Painful... inanimate I'd say.Sounds like a Garage Band.
Any slower and it would be going backwards.
So good

Todd for President
forever
I would not want to be the person Daryl was angry at.
Thanks for sharing. They are in our area next week. Does Todd do an opening set?
Yes, Todd opens the concert. Daryl and Todd perform separately for an hour each and then sing a few songs together. Don't miss it if you get a chance!

Can't stand this version. I just don't like Todd's voice. That's me....
Daryl cant sing anymore.Todd saved that song.
Huge fan of both, but this performance is very, very weak and tired sounding.. It's awful. Very hard to listen to.
Daryl sounds awesome, Todd not so much

Saw todd last month at Daryl's house. It was terrible. No voice left, played a bunch of silly songs. A big disappointment
Seems like Todd's vocals are shot.

Sorry, it's time to hangup the cleats. Voice is shot (both of them) and the band sounds like a houseband. Damn shame....
