You guys handled the politics part really well, describing reality without sounding at all like you're motivated by the politics over health. It's a weird reality in 2024 that, of our two parties, the one completely captured by the profiteering corporate establishment are the Ds. It used to be the other way around, and I'm still not sure when it shifted. Definitely by the time the pandemic hit, and that entrenched it.
Your comments about everyone thinking they're experts as being problematic is WRONG! The bigger problem are the "experts" that continue to propagate bad/wrong information.
The root cause is the drive for profit. Peoples health shouldn't be a target of profit. As long as it is these problems are going to remain one way or another, regardless of who's in power. The way the political and economic system of the US is setup, both major parties are heavily influenced by corporations and capital.
My prediction is that RFK Jr. will not have a seat at the table and that Big Ag and Big Pharm will make sure little to no progress is made. I hope I'm wrong.
He staged a bear cub crime scene and removed a whale noggin , strapped it to the roof of his car and drove home with it . Frankly , I wouldn't want this guy at my table .
@@KarenSharin I'm not a fan of it but I will give credit to him bringing up the issue of food quality. I wouldn't trust anyone that didn't have the grey matter to keep a brain worm alive. We'll see if he is honest in regards to his beliefs on food or not. He can still try bringing the issue to light no matter who wins.

My husband and I scrape together enough money to eat organic because when we moved to a rural place we became aware that the farm land around us and the air we are forced to breathe has thousands of gallons of defolient in it . Myself and my neighbor are having neurological issues . We can't move . All of the chemicals they are using are banned in europe but not here .
I do worry that a lot of the medical people will hold on to the same old same old. After all who is going to kill the cash cow. Most aware people are looking for knowledge and are trying to improve their own help. I think if everyone had healthy food access. Free meal for every kid proper human diet. It would be a game changer. Improve attention remove phones during class. People are proving Omad healthy meal is a good start to fixing broken metabolism. Good to see that people like your guest are trying to change things.
I have to disagree on the Michelle Obama comments. From what I find, she was focusing on childhood obesity by addressing several areas, including both fitness and healthy eating. It wasn't one area then switched to another, it was simultaneous. Also, she attempted to make school lunches more healthy but this initiative was mocked and fought by the other party. The GOP said the new standards are too expensive, and that kids are throwing away more food. It's easy to find the facts these days.

R’s are more than willing to accept lobbyist’s dollars so don’t expect big changes to our healthcare practices.
