At 5:42 Bill said "At first everyone thought it was incoming rounds.." This was identical to the Aug 23, 68 attack on SOG HQ.
Around 9:53 he mentions the SEALs method of acquisitioning supplies. In the summer of 68, CCC also had methods. One of the guys in S-4 would hitch hike up to Da Nang or where ever on business, then "acquire" a vehicle to come home. I know there was a bull dozer that appeared one day at the CCC Yard camp. (it did need a lot of work). And I heard our appropriator had once returned with tractor trailer.
At 33:00 They were talking about internal issues for the Yards. While at CCC there was an incident. A formation of the Yard soldiers, one of the men had a grenade on his web gear, and somehow the pin got pulled. He couldn't free it from his gear and it killed him. No one else seemed to have been injured. BUT Afterwards, I heard or was talking with an interpreter. And I recall the phrase "was suspected of being VC." I never dug into what had happened, but, had the Yards removed a problem in their ranks? I'll never know.
Regarding this issue, I'm curious if Bill knew or heard of something like this with Pappy Webb?

38 minutes in or so talking about stopping missions. Dick Thompson talked about hearing a voice telling him to drop just as machinegun rounds ripped into the side of the helicopter where his head was located ! How can anyone deny that God exists ? And he commented about several other times things like this happened. I have heard an audible voice also where there was no one standing anywhere near and I looked around to see for myself, My wife had had a severe brain injury where she was blind for 3 days and she developed severe seizures where she would just lock up and go out no prior warning just out no matter going down stairs whatever. We went to a church where a pastor was traveling through and this was not a planned stop for him he was just there and asked if anyone wanted prayer for a need and to ask Jesus for help for a specific need . We approached the front of the church and that's when a voice spoke to me and stated about the scars on her brain, no one there knew us for this to be a scripted event. That pastor walked over to us and didn't go to my son daughter or myself he just went straight to my wife put his hand on her head and spoke the exact words I heard 5 minutes before . He prayed in the name of Jesus for healing and it was done she stopped taking the medicine the neurologist had her on for seizures and he told her it was a big mistake for her to stop.. She has been seizure free since that day almost 30 years back all I can say is thank you for that Lord
Lots of things that happen in life that there really is no answer for. It does make you think.
