- My first visit to Mall of America outside of Minneapolis Minnesota . The retail establishment has a huge indoor theme park that is a site to behold ! We rode the log chute , Ferris wheel and wandered the massive 4 story building .

Mall of America is a site to behold . Not really sure why no filming is allowed on the log chute but each place has their own policies I suppose . Today I used my iPhone 6s Plus instead of my canon 70d inside because dslrs are also forbidden . On the log I used a g7x mark 2 because it's better in low light . Find me on Instagram - AdamTheWooATW

I understand not wanting you holding something on the drop that might get jarred loose and hit you or someone else. I have seen some parks so crazy that they don't even want you to have things in your pockets on rides.

LGR uses them for thrift store filming and honestly the quality is great especially for what they are. I think it could work nicely.
I loved how the picture that they took of you showed you filming and breaking their rules. Made my day, couldn’t stop laughing.
If you look at 2:11 you can see Knott's Boysenberry syrup next to the pancakes. It's a leftover from the Knott's Camp Snoopy Days. Knott's Berry Farm was part of the original park before it was converted to Nickelodeon.

When the log ride was owned by Camp Snoopy/Knot's Berry Farm, there was a loud speaker at the top of the log ride, and when you went by it yelled at you in a very stern voice, "SIT DOWN!" It yelled, even if you were sitting. It was like an angry dad voice. It was startling! LOL. The underwater attraction hosts Girl Scout troops for overnight learning and adventure experiences. It was a blast to sleep in the glass tunnels with my troop, while the sharks and fish swam over us. The rotunda (where you were filming four levels), a little boy was thrown off the top level last year by some jerk. He's recovering well, but that's a terrible fall. Thanks for sharing this.
I can't afford to travel the country, but subscribing to Adam gives me the next best thing. Thank you Adam!

I love this park. There are some solid rides for such a small footprint, the Spongebob coaster is especially fun in my book.

I’ve always wanted to go here! A mall and a theme park combined?... sounds like Heaven to me! I remember those scenes from the Mighty Ducks movies that were filmed inside the mall. It’s so awesome they let you Film the ride but the lady ruined the first drop! Ahhh. lol That was awesome man
It's a cool place but filming anything is very frowned upon
And their security doesn't mess around, a majority of their force is trained by the Israeli army.
Not to mention the NKOTB was strong in this one! I guess it is appropriate because he is in the mall. God we're old!

Willie Jenkins its hard to get a picture of someone riding the log Chute, but most rides someone can easily take a picture from the ground without having to pay. They don't allow you to hold anything on most rides not just cameras of phones. Mall of America is very photo and video friendly, just not not on rides for safety reasons.

Adventures by George I have been to both the West Edmonton Mall and Mall of America and the West Edmonton Mall is much more impressive.
A Charles West Edmonton Mall definitely is larger. It was the largest mall in the world until recently when some bigger ones I believe in China were built. It was always bigger than Mall of the Americas.

I thought my friend was crazy when she told me once her family was going there on vacation. I said, a summer vacation at a Mall? Really? NOW understand it! Wish I would have been asked to go! LadyDragonsblood its because of safety concerns, anything you can drop is not allowed on most rides, not just phones or cameras. Mall of America loves people to take pictures and videos and have them share it on Facebook, Instagram etc. I like the mall on a Facebook, and they frequently ask people to share their pictures, including the park, which is owned by the mall. They love free publicity, they just don't allow anything that can fall on rides.

Randy Most anything that would fall, would fall under the ride, where people shouldn't be anyway. Like Adam said in another vlog, when a place wouldn't let him wear his go pro on a wrist band.... what, are they going to ask people to take off their watches next? All the Mall has to do is post a sign that says, if you lose it, it's gone. It also was not necessary for that lady to yell at and humiliate Adam, like that over the loud speaker. They should let people make up their own minds if they want to risk losing their cameras or phones. AND to not treat their customers like children.

This is the REAL reason you can't video.... *MONEY* They don't want to risk not being able to SELL pictures from the rides, or if you accidentally photograph or video a character too, apparently......... Nickelodeon Universe ride photos are available for purchase at Log Chute, Pepsi® Orange Streak and SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge. Character photos can be purchased at the Blue Spot or Green Spot.
LadyDragonsblood I would also imagine they do it to keep people from suing if say their camera gets damaged or if your on a coaster and it flys out of your hand and hits someone they could sue Adam and the mall or try to sue the mall but it would be Adams fault sense the video was proof he was told not to do something

Jay Benton Exactly!!! There are ways to be tactful with guests. I wasn’t there but those ladies seemed downright nasty! I’d think twice before spending my hard earned money at MOA, but that’s just my opinion.
I live in MN and most people are like this here. Very repressed/conservative culture. I always felt I'd fit in better in a more 'free spirited ' place ha 🙄 . Haven't been to this place in years , however despite living about 40 minutes away .My dad worked on it during the construction 😛
I'm sure they don't care guys... they're just doing what they're told to do so they can keep their jobs.

I have lived near the Mall of America my entire life. I even worked on its original construction during the late 80s. However, I have never been on the log ride. Thanks for taking us along. I wish I would have known you were there yesterday... I could have stopped by and said hi for a minute.

I think you missed or at least didn’t feature in your video that the mall grounds used to have a baseball stadium there. There’s a marker where home plate was, in the amusement park area, and a seat on the wall from the stadium.

It's nice to see the mall doing better than it was in 2010 when we went. Half the mall was empty then. We loved the aquarium.

The log ride and ghost blasters are my absolute favorites. It was Camp Snoopy when I was a kid so now it’s completely different! I still miss Camp Snoopy

We stopped at MOA last summer after flying back from Orlando. We walked through the theme park, but didn't ride on any rides. We were there really late and the store we came in from had closed. We had to find our way to the connected hotel to get out and walk all the way around the outside of the mall to get to our car. It was an adventure to say the least! After that, I think I've seen enough of MOA and don't plan on going any time soon!

In 1995, I went to the Mall of America, I walked the entire mall in five hours. I went to Camp Snoopy which had Snoopy on his red dog house. This was also my first time to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe.
I love coming to mall of America, I’ve been there a couple of times before and for those couple times I’ve visited the mall of America, I stayed at the best western plus across the street.

Used to think my boy was bonkers going on about how he wanted to live in Minnesota so he could go to the Mall of America, after an overnite layover gave him the opp to spend an afternoon there once several yrs ago. He tried to describe it to me - I just saw a big mall w/rides in my mind. It was still Snoopy-themed when he visited. Personally, I deplore malls, but this one I'd go to at least once. Pretty impressive, Adam.

I am from this area and have ridden the mall of america roller coaster. it was fun. Lots and lots of people go to the mall and when they leave most have nothing to cary. Prices are very high and most of us just look. Good place to get in out of the cold.
