Does the green turn around if you stand on the other side of the green? Or do you still see it as if you stand on the "normal" side of the green. Hope you understand what I mean... ha,ha.
You've missed off the two best features. Nice review thanks. I bought this watch last week for £200 to replace my old Garmin watch. But as I say you have missed two features. When you hit a shot it asks you which club you used this data is stored and you can see on the app your gapping also a map of how you went round th course. Also there is a layup feature so if you want a say a 109y shot in it will say how far you need to hit it. I know it's easy to work out but helps you play that way.
Hey guys - hope you're all well. Quick q - what happens when you do a couple practice swings prior to hitting your ball? I tend to do a couple before committing. Does it register those as hits? Cheers happy golfing!
Mine will register my practice swings as my actual stroke from time to time. But I don't input which club I use until I take the actual swing and hit my ball. So far by doing it that way it has never registered my practice swings as another stroke.
Problem is reliability. I have the S42. for example it tells me that I am 130 yards from the entrance of Green and when I hit my shot I realize that I am too far too long. you can see the distance of the shot on the watch as you walk and when I arrive at the entrance of the Green I am at 103 yards which makes a huge difference. the distance is roughly what I do with my irons so I assume it is the distance at the entrance to the green that is incorrect. I had already noticed that it doesn’t match at all with the 100, 150 and 200 yards stakes. On the fairway I don’t care but when I’m in the 100 yards zone to the green I don’t trust it anymore. Besides once I played with three guys. one had the S12 the other one a S40 and the third one a Bushnell. None of us had the same distances. Variations from 5 to 10%. So yes it’s a good watch and it’s nice to have it but don’t trust it more than 70-80%.
Bizarre. Just arrived in Horsham from Shropshire, checked into hotel and started looking for a review on the S42 as considering getting one before this weekends round at... Mannings Heath. Feels like Fate to me LOL

What about touch screen that moves to another hole everytime you accidentally touch screen during your round.
Thoughts on shot scope v3 vs S42?

I have the same question. We’re you able to find the answer anywhere?

You get used to playing to what the watch say's even if it's off
