This family was treated very poorly. I don’t believe the girls ran away as was suggested, something more sinister happened. Why wasn’t that white van looked into? Sure there are plenty of white vans but there were other people living in the area and they could’ve seen something that could help. I feel so bad for the Millbrook family.
I’m gonna be that person. Their case was treated so poorly because they’re black, full stop.
Uhhhhh smells like police cover up to me. whether they are covering up the crime itself, or just their incompetency, there are too many "accidents" of wrongly reported things in this case to be completely accidental.
I feel like this is the kind of case where multiple people know or have heard whispers of what happened. It seems like one of those cases where people were too scared to speak up because whoever took them or they were seen with was known to be dangerous in the community. I also feel like if the police take the initiative to interview witnesses along the route, that since a lot of time has passed and the perpetrator(s) might be in prison/old/moved away that witnesses might be ready to open up.

I lived in Augusta for about a year and a half (I'm from VA). This was around 2003-2005, and people were STILL talking about this case. A lot of people think that foul play was involved, and that they didn't run away.
Racism meant these girls were dismissed immediately.
This case infuriates me The did nothing to really look into these 2 young ladies disappearance 😭😠
There's been a recent documentary on this case (I can't remember the name of it but I watched it, I think it might be just The Disappearance of the Millbrook Twins) and they concluded that the girls were killed at their father's house (I think) because he was running drugs. One of the drug dealers tried to take advantage of one of the girls, and the other one fought back, and in the process she ended up hit and she fell and hit her head. They then killed the other girl to erase any witnesses. The family were on the doc and it was really heartbreaking.
Ladies be very catious of who you choose to befriend and have romantic relationships with take strong measures to protect and defend yourself against violent super--- predators.
Nasty victim blaming. Women should be safe to live their lives - men should be taught not to commit these heinous crimes. “Super predators” look just like everyone else, might even be your priest, your teacher, your relative, your friend.
@@Ohnoitsruthio ya but they’re not , that’s like saying you should just drive without worry about other drivers on the rode, should people follow the rules of the rode yes , but they don’t. They are really evil people out there that don’t care about right or wrong so I unfortunately you need to take pro caution, I personally feel not telling woman to protect them selves is not only stupid but irresponsible

How does one study toward a “degree with honors”? You can work toward a degree but it is the college which confers the honors and they cannot be “stud[ied] toward”.
@@kathrynwitte3398 for someone who thinks she’s terribly posh and a know-it-all, you certainly have a spelling problem? My degree course, if you want to be technical sweetheart, is BA (honours) Criminology and Psychology. It’s a degree course with honours.
