The first time you hear this song, you are struck by the shear beauty and greatness. It moves from your ears to your heart to your soul and you need to hear it again or you will not be able to go on living. The second time you are compelled to understand what it's about. You research the lyrics, you google the meaning. You realize there is literally a cult around it and you are already in it. From there on, the joy of this song is all ANTICIPATION for each chord, verse, chorus, pause...a rollercoaster of goosebumps and heartache from start to finish. 100% brilliant masterpiece.

Agreed!! 2 months ago I would have said Porcu who?? I was at an estate sale and just happened to pick up In Absentia and Fear of A Blank Planet on DVD-AUDIO 5.1 because the name sounded interesting. Those OOP items are expensive on eBay. Impresionante la amabilidad de Steven con los asistentes; se tomó el tiempo de acercarse a ellos y estrechar sus manos, habla más de lo que es como MÚSICO, un gran ser humano. Quién hubiese estado ahí.
    ¡Muchas gracias PT; cancoonsoootaaaa! ✨🍷

Qué temazo, por favor... No puedo cansarme de repetirlo y volver a pasarlo, vez tras vez!! Ésta es la versión DEFINITIVA de "Trains": en vivo, y ÉSTA!!! Muy superior a la de estudio original!!

An ode to happy childhood memories. This is a big reason why this song was so popular.
EDIT: Why this song IS and will remain popular.

    That was a great performance.
I saw them while working at a small club in Minneapolis when they toured in support of this album.
I liked them so much I bought the disc from the merch table.
On the rare occasion this song comes on my feed I remember how fantastic this band is. Thanks for the musical joy!
