Alx, I’ve been watching you since I was 13 and I’m currently 18. I was lost in what I thought god would say for so long and I’m finally comfortable in my skin. I know god is this magic thread between us all. We are all loving caring people. Our souls are so precious and are so deserving of love. I really needed to hear this. I only have my dad in my life and whenever he sees a gay couple he says if I end up like them he'll kick me out or beat me till I'm "fixed". I know I won't have him after I tell him I'm bisexual so I've been trying to connect with God again. But I think to myself what if they're right and God will sent me to hell. After my grandpa died I had so much anger towards God. My grandpa was everything to me. I never got to say goodbye and I see him before he passed. My heart was full of hate towards Him and I decided to leave religion out of my life. I'm now much older I understand things better. I want reconnect with Him but I don't know where to start. But thank you for this Alx it really warmed by heart.
Sweetie God loves ALL. The truth of salvation is that if you follow and believe in Jesus Christ, that he died for your sins then you will be saved. Having God in your heart is never being alone, it is knowing that you are loved unconditionally, being able to just trust in him to get you where you need to be. Everyone is constantly dealing with sins in one way or another. Come as you are, and just let God steer you where he wants to.
I've always found that just taking a minute (or an hour) and having a talk with God is the best place to start
I think truly the first place to start is by giving over your life to God. The first place to get answers is the Bible itself, but I’ve often heard for a new Christian or someone who is curious to begin in Matthew and read the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). These books retell the life, death, resurrection, and ministry of Jesus Christ. This is where it all begins. Christ gave His life for us so that we can have true freedom from our sins through Him. When our sins had sentenced us to an eternity in Hell, He took our sins upon Himself so that we can be forgiven and stand before God, blameless and covered by the grace of Jesus, allowing us to spend eternity with God. So in order to have Jesus’s salvation, we must admit that we’re sinners and seek repentance (which means turning from our old ways and living a new life in Christ), believing that Jesus truly paid the penalty for our sins, and asking God for His salvation. It’s that simple. When we ask to be saved, we commit our lives to Christ and allow Him to change us. This is where you start. Giving over your life to Christ, reading the scriptures, and talking to Him. I tell Him everything, because He knows my mind and heart; I can’t hide anything from Him! But my openness and transparency allows and open dialogue between us. He can speak to us in different ways, from a still small voice to the perfect scripture to another person confirming something for us. But if you give your life over to Him and genuinely seek Him about what to do in your life, I whole heartedly believe that He would reveal His will for you, or at least guide you to where He wants you.
I am praying that you do come to a place of believing and acceptance Christ as your personal savior, and I’m praying for His will and guidance over your life. Bisexuality is not your identity. Being a wife, father, race car driver- none of these things are our identities when we are made new in Christ. He is our identity, and it is by and through Him that we find true joy, peace, fulfillment, and happiness. This life has many difficulties but God is our constant, so I know I can find my identity in Him when this world is ever changing!
I’m going through the EXACT SAME THING!!! I’m bisexual and live with my mom who is very against it. I grew up in a Christian household with a very religious mother. It added more depression and anxiety on top of the depression and anxiety I already suffer with. I’m bisexual as well and in a relationship with a guy. My mom isn’t as hard on me since i came out but I’m still very fearful and this video really helped me.
