She sounds healthy and great. Can’t wait to hear the story on this car and see how it looked before the fire. I hope you restore it back to how it was before the fire as that would make for an awesome series to watch. Brilliant work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
+ Hayden UK 18 It's an interesting show car left as-is. To be realistic, the fire and heat has destroyed the metal at the molecular level and there is no strength left in it. Leave it alone or salvage the good parts and scrap it.
Randy (and Santa) you two are just crazy dudes. But please don't ever change! To see a burnt out wreck and realise it was far more than it seemed was genius and Santa's magic touches just brought it to life. Oh that and your distributor skills! This car has just GOT to be a major series. 👍👏

@@2koolchris291 it may, but do you tell your wife to keep wearing that ratty old dress and falling apart shoes because it tells a story, or do you take her out and buy her a new dress and new shoes so she knows you appreciate her. Same with a car, do you appreciate the car, do you value it, then give it the love and attention it needs, treat it like a lady and it will give you years of loyal service, spray clear over rust though because "patina" and watch it continue to deteriorate because you didn't actually correct the problems, and because of its condition you can't tell if the clear coat you applied is damaged and letting that rusty metal get exposed again. Just finished up the brakes on my truck.....grabbed a Gatorade and turned the fan on and now sitting on the tail gate watching this awesome video.......😁
What has been done to the frame, suspension, disc brakes??? Is it a one piece or two piece frame??? The frame alone is worth the money you paid. I just sold a rolling frame that I ground on with a Harbor Freight angle grinder. I go thru at least 1 grinder. prime and paint. This one I did in high gloss. It went to Idaho. Randy, without a doubt you're a mad genius! Where others would have said "Not a Chance", you said "Hell Yeah!". Sit down, shut up, and hold on! Because, this is gonna be a wild ride!
A very cool video Randy. I was amazed how well the engine ran after seeing the car! It'll be great to hear the background story. Please don't swap out the exhaust just to make it noisy like so many of the others on RUclips. I'm one who prefers the silent but deadly approach.😉
A lot of people are saying to clear coat it, but clear coat won't stick to the rust for long. If you want to run the patina look, just give it a boiled linseed oil treatment, or some of that "sweet patina sauce" Puddin keeps talking about
"I've got a 5 gallon can of gas and an electric fuel pump." I'm sitting here thinking that if you torch Santa with that set up there is nowhere in the world you'll be safe.
Wow! This is great. A tri five burnt beyond repair, good for nothing... and you made the best purchase purely for content! That’s what this channel is all about! She’d never have been running again if it wasn’t for your channel! Thanks randy. I was glued to this episode! Oh oh! Better get Maaco!
I think I got a problem with this billet distributor I put in my 57 and I see that you put a HEI distributor in your 55. Was it hard? Cause it doesn't look like i would be able to fit a HEI in my car and i got a 350 in my 57. If you have any suggestions please message back.

Out of all the old cars you've gotten I think you should totally keep the 59 Coronet and restore and keep the 55 Bel Air 2 absolutely amazing cars and you own them
She sounds so goooooood. I promise bro, you always find a diamond in the rough. That engine could easily be taken out and put into another old school. Love your videos Randy. Keep up the good work champ 👍🏾💪🏾

That car has so much potential. Body looks like there's zero rust plus the fire looks like it didn't compromise the medal at all either. I know here on the east coast you could flip that as is for a heck of a lot more then you paid for. Personally I would never part with my 55. Bendix is the type of drive system in the starter, but it is the solenoid on top of the starter that actually causes the starter motor gear to engage with the flywheel. If the solenoid goes bad the starter can turn but never engage the flywheel.

I would absolutely love to eventually see this car drag race. Maybe with Dereck from VGG? Or possible interior restore or both? But that "paint" job look factree as hell.
Congratulations Randy. The video is great and you have a special one there. Thank you the Father’s Day video. Seems that everybody forgot and the weekend turned into nothingness. I did get to send time with my grandson, seems no one else realised.
She deserves a second chance at life. I have seen where folks do the 2 door conversion on a four door. Professionally done... can’t tell the difference.
